Worth putting into perspective that the lowest low in March 2020 was around the £10 mark, that didn't last long, and it retraced really fast from those lows. Obviously the macro factors right now are VERY different, and it's a long term play.

Yep. It's definitely hard to watch. That P/E ratio is now in bargain basement territory for the sector. I may also average down again but it's a hard call when to do it.

H&M also announced they have ceased trading with Russia.

Seems like a sound move. I mean, what else are you going to do in this situation?

Seems like a lot of macro factors weighing on the SP, what with inflation, Ukraine, lingering Covid.

The only factor related to the business I can see is the lack of a new CEO, hence some uncertainty. Many shares I am following in the retail sector are struggling in the same way (see Games Workshop for instance).

Beyond that, I really haven't the slightest idea. I think it's a case of sit tight and wait, but it could be a far longer wait than any of us expected. Like a lot of you I am in the red on this one currently, but fundamentals of the company remain unchanged.

Yep, a lot of patience will be required. If we don't start WWIII this year, I'm sure it'll rebound nicely.

I do keep thinking the same, and then wonder if it's a losing battle. Then I look at the 3 year chart, and it tells a really different story. In almost all cases, even when it dropped to the £10 mark, this has recovered to £25-35 range, if not higher.

Definitely painful, but also a great buying opportunity for some.

This very low now, especially with full year results and a divi incoming. Tempting. I bought into some ETFs at a 5% discount this morning. (L&G Battery ETF).

Well, bargain prices today. Didn't expect Putin to go full on war. Also, no idea how the market reacts in such situations! Do we see a a big drop like today and then a gradual re-trace? Obviously this has implications for energy prices.

RBC Capital Markets re-iterating Outperform at £72. Seems a bit crazy high... but glad the sentiment if positive.

We sure could use that CEO news. Might help give things a boost.

Tangentially related, but IPF posted excellent result and SP is currently 12% up. There may be some read across. IPF seem to be in a fundamentally better position, with less regulatory red tape.

Did a small top up at £19.50. Going to keep averaging down on this when I can.

Retail sector seems momentarily up. No idea what's going on. Figured everything would be down due to Russia. Maybe should have topped up this morning. Can never time these things!

Happy FTSE day people, although it's probably going to be a big red day with the new around Russia / Ukraine. Wonder where it'll bottom out today?
