Was made aware of this due to the Vox Markets video that aired this week, in discussion with Odyssean Capital. It looks undervalued right now. Would love to hear from people currently invested how they see this as a 2-3 year hold?

May be a bit premature, but feels like markets have now priced in the Ukraine conflict and things are tracking sideways or cautiously upwards. The FED has announced their interest rate hike, with BOE likely to follow today. I think we may see things stabilise a bit. I am hoping for a negotiated peace in Ukraine, likely with Ukraine having a 'neutral' status. This seems the most likely outcome.

Topped up today. Bargain prices. Long term hold, but I really like how quickly they are expanding.

Good analysis Dimi. I think it's just a longer timescale than we all expected. The key here is patience. I thought I could make a quick profit on a 6-12 month timescale, but obviously this year hasn't exactly unfolded as we all expected.

It's probably a longer hold now. But, looking at the business, there's no reason to think it cannot continue to grow year on year. ASOS are better placed than a lot of other companies in the apparel sector. Plus, spending in apparel is growing at the moment.

I believe things will recover, but this year could be pretty tough for investors.

Boohoo will be interesting to watch tomorrow. Vastly different companies, but will be interesting to see what challenges they are facing and what results look like.

Was volume especially high today?

My figure is a percentage of total global sales lost. (11M sales in Ukraine, 267M sales in Russia).

The 4% was impact on group revenue. Both are useful.

Worthy bearing in mind Russia / Ukraine is 6.5% of ASOS global sales, so it's going to sting a bit.

Going blue, but I'm at a total loss to explain the rise. Anyone?

Seems to have some resistance at £15.

@Bobby, would be interested to know where you expect it to bottom out. I think market instability is going to be with us for some time longer. But, curious to hear what the chartists / more experienced folk think.

In short - No one knows. Timing the market is always hard, but look at the macro factors currently.

A month ago, I would have said £20 was the low... look how fast that all changed!

I've only been in ASOS for about 8 months. I'd echo what Fireblade is saying. Wait and watch for now. Maybe decide what your desired buy in price is and set a buy order for that. If it doesn't fire, you can add manually later. But we are probably due many more weeks, if not months of markets being all over the place.

What I'm curious about, is why has ASOS been hit so hard, or why is it so volatile? Fundamentals of the company haven't changed. I get the macro factors are bad, but the FTSE is down what? 2-3%, yet we are seeing a 10% drop. Would be curious to understand why. Is, as Midastouch say, a volume thing?

Yeah, this is pretty brutal. 10%. Eeek.

Oh well, for now I'll just watch it drop. Unnerving.

@Treacle24... I am curious, what's the rationale for not averaging down? Is it more of a 'buy and hold' approach, or a 'dollar cost averaging' approach as they call it, where you just buy in chunks at regular increments?

As a novice trader, always open to learning more and hearing other opinions from those with more experience.
