Think you need to check that, Cost of ESN project £5billion, Cost of USO £1.5b, AVN is a small part of that making a robust network. USO will be a waste of money, already several failed projects such as BDUK and many others, fact is takeup is low and with MNO's being hit by fines for not hitting coverage targets will make them act to increase masts, could be a mix of temp satellite sites and new sites, So a win win for Avanti, get paid off the MNO's not having to deal with small users who don't pay and high churn rates. I didnt read the whole USO project contract but the killer for satellite on this is not the speed 10/1 very easy its the 100gb data which I can't see any satellite operator making money from, I did notice that even OFCOM admits that :

"A mix of technologies that meet the minimum specifications will be used to deliver the service. In 2016 Ofcom advised that satellite connections will probably be the only option for some consumers (approx. 0.2%) but may not be able to fulfil the additional quality parameters"

So in my opinion AVN doing the right thing, they tried small resellers for residential users which didnt work as the share price clearly shows, now the new management target MNO's, Gov's and other satellite operators which is where the big bucks are, leave Eutelsat to the small residential UK market which is subsidised by their TV deals.

Hi HITS, I don't agree that the product is more suited to Africa against W Europe, I agree that Africa is essential but only due to the fact most of the fleets capacity is pointed over Africa, nothing to do with the cutting edge HITS satellites AVN uses. Could well be there is none left over uk as it's only 4 small beams covering the uk as I understand it so could be AVN have but the brakes on the small residential users that BBB target, could be they are expecting EE to double the deal as per the option in the RNS, said it before and will say it again you don't get any better case studies than the Uk goverment via BT/EE ESN which really should eliminate any doubts you have about the tech! Not invested here but shocked at how things are panning out, having used Fjet flights many times and spent lots of time in TZ and speaking to locals whilst there it seems things are not rosey at the moment. This kind of thing should be a stark warning to companies looking to do business in TZ, the mining sector also has issues.

As a critical analysis specialist I would have thought you would have paid more attention to detail MTB, It makes me wonder what else you have got wrong, its all in the detail!. You can check my history if you like but in short I sold out a long time ago at a loss, then i decided to buy back in, then I decided to sell again at a small loss again. The reason for this is because I have vast experience working with African companies and I happen to know that the big players won't sign any contracts until next year now as they will be in xmas lock down, thats not to say AVN could announce some transformational news from other areas we shall see. I'm glad i've made your day that makes me smile, I will keep an eye on AVN and if you mention me I will reply like this morning. I do intend to get back in AVN in the new year at some point, my mission is to keep my overall investment money in profit which you will be glad to know is inline with my expectations, i do own over 40 stocks at present some up some down, so there you go some honesty for you.
