ADVFN/LSE do seem to have a consistent issue where they don't pick up RNS'

Buyers today will be sitting on a 16% yield. Where are the negatives, now that the consultation seems to have removed lingering doubt?

It'd be interesting to know how quickly the new models can be made. Presumably as they're simpler and cheaper that will mean more than previous.

Understandably the RNS didn't set the market alight. Waiting for hard numbers I think.

Right. These RNS' have been coming out for at least 6 months, no one makes sense of them so no point speculating.

It would seem the recent spike brought in a bunch of new money and they're running at a loss and ran out of ramp material.

An RNS that includes some numbers will raise the SP IMHO.

Averaging 63p here, closer to 59p with recent dividends.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds over the coming weeks. It seems like a great opportunity to lock in some high yield dividends but who knows, maybe uk govt can spook investment more than it already has.

A share buyback at these prices surely would be good value and help dividend cover.

Surely this has been somewhat priced in for a while as it was well known that the whole pricing model was to be reviewed.

That and the additional cost of borrowing.

As others have said, another collaboration is going to be the catalyst for the price to move North, or harder numbers on the Tempus deal.

The social/environmental levy definitely perpetuates the idea of green energy being expensive. I've seen elected members of parliament conflate the strike price of wind farms vs the wholesale cost of gas, simply ignoring the fact you need a power station to burn the gas. Just so they can segue into drilling for oil.

I am a member of one of the RippleEnergy (badly managed and now defunct) wind farm co-operatives. The idea is that your investment in a wind farm knocks the wholesale cost of electricity off your bill i.e. hedges you against nasty price rises. The simple fact is that the wholesale cost is less than half the cost at the point of use and it's entirely down to how the pricing model works.

Reducing some of these costs would surely help business and maybe encourage more private investment, even rooftop solar.

Somewhat understandable the UK govt are looking at ways to bring down bills. The rampant inflation over the past few years has baked in these higher costs. A family member had solar installed while FIT (RPI linked iirc) payments were still a thing that currently pays for 100% of their electricity.

I guess all the renewable trusts are in the same situation with gearing. ~£15m/y saved in divi payments via the buyback. Another 5 years of that at the same depressed prices could all add up to meaningful additional cash and substantially less shares in issue. Though it all does seem insignificant to the cost of servicing debt at higher rates.

If the SP stayed the same for 10 years at current yield I think I'd be happy with the outcome, as the investment would have paid for itself and covered inflation assuming 3%.

The UBS RNS' make very little sense and have been happening for months.

It is. I think hard numbers from the Tempus deal, or any other indication of revenue is what will move the SP.
