So they determined only yesterday that the contract has now expired. Question is that legal advice was based on the extended long stop date....therefore THAT is the date on which the contract expired, whether they looked at it or took legal advice on it or not. It's the date of expiry. They knew the date, they knew they had no extension, this is the single most important contract that they have ever signed, no one was thinking

"ummm today was the extended long stop date...we've had no extension...doesn't that mean we have no contract ?...shouldn't we possible tell the shareholders that ?

It was only when they were thinking about the interims that it crossed someone's mind that 2+2=4 and their solicitors confirmed.
