PHE approval is not really a hurdle now. The Telegraph have twice covered the story that the first trial for accuracy and specificity has demonstrated the RTC test passed with 'flying colours '. It will happen this week imo.

This will do 30% if anyone sees it. Not front page. I guess the Guardian will pick it up tomoz. Interesting that they have been giving the Telegraph all the real news and leaking some confusing stories to the FT and the Guardian. Hey ho. Very, very good news!

Ghia, yeah guidance was updated on July 10th. Maybe the site is just acknowledging a prior contract? I don't think the systems are terribly transparent at the moment. They have 'desirable ' and 'acceptable ' standards. Our's meets desirable- over 97% accuracy. Roche and Abbott are 80-90% so only acceptable. No wonder they can't establish enough firm evidence if the tests they have been using are such low quality. The Crick Institute said they only had 1 in 5000 false positives though so they saw it as a non issue when they appeared as expert witnesses to the select committee on Tuesday.

No it doesn't mean that Ghia. MHRA have just updated their guidance for antibody tests for manufacturers on 10th July. Check their website. Abbott only meet the lower standard. Abbott and Roche will be out of the picture by the end of the Summer.

Government are under massive pressure now to move onto the mass testing to assess prevalence. The BMA are very critical and are demanding that we learn the lessons to prevent a second wave in their submission to the public enquiry. I also watched the whole of the Select Committee enquiry into Cv19 management. Reccomend you take a look on catch up if you have time. The directors of the Wellcome Trust, the Crick Institute and Sir John Bell all singing from the same hymn book about antibody tests and test and trace. The Crick Institute did 30000 tests on health care workers and found 45% had had the virus! The Wellcome Trust want testing twice a week for all health care workers. Wouldn't want to be out of this at the weekend! Lol- snuck that in. GLA.

Bananaman, there are 2 studies. Reach 1 and 2. Two different purposes. One to assess veracity at scale was done in Northern Ireland. Leaked to international media. The other will assess prevalence as you will know if you have seen the letter because that's what it says. Beginning to wonder about you Bman.

Professor John Halden from the BoE has published a report today saying that his fears for the economy are demand led. He notes US data that shows the public are not eating out for fear of the virus. Confidence must be addressed by hygiene measures and by more successful testing. Any more silly selling and I am going to have to buy some more. Sam is the saddest human I have come across in a very long time. Lol.
