Seriously. There is pretty much one conversation in the news. Or related discourse- the plummeting economy resulting from cv19; past mistakes in managing and suppressing the virus- especially re track and trace. When we get MHRA approval this will blow like a Yellowstone geyser. Hot, high and very strong;)

Absolutely. But I don't know if you have noticed that there is some tension between different UK governments about health prevention policy. It won't be long before the best tests will completely dominate the market. The ODX home care antigen test should be in the mix for brand leaders too imho.

Benyon, none of our tests come with a machine. The point I am drawing attention to is that when the UK authorities were asked if they are buying the Luminatrax test they countered with the fact that they are piloting a test which will deliver results in just 20 minutes. The ABC test delivers 20 minutes. So the UK government are expecting to have something much faster than the test that the Scottish and Welsh government are buying. Which is annoying if they are playing politics- they should obviously be sharing their intentions and the opportunities with all health authorities. But nevertheless it is a very strong suggestion of what is coming for ODX.

In the Guardian story about Scottish and Welsh governments buying new machines to process tests faster. Half way down the story the Department for Health response is that the UK government is piloting another test which will deliver results in 20 minutes. Step forward RTC. They know the pressure is on. My guess is next week for confirmation that the RTC has the best, fastest, most accessible and cheapest test in the world. Headlines saturating all national media and filtering through to international media within days. Pressure will form for international licensing agreements within months.

This piece asks if we are ready for a second wave. His science contacts say we have tests in the pipeline. But we will need 1 million a day by December to keep on top of tracking the virus. Definitely more of a consensus about a massive testing program to build confidence. Hope our poc antigen test is ready on time too. We are going to be selling 100 million a year without any trouble imho.

It was in the local papers in Belfast that it was happening over 4 days to Friday 14th. Widely shared.

Published today. It's all going on. The REACT 2 study is old news. Published on 13th August by PHE. Doesn't look like ODX's products were in the mix because it started before we got the CE mark. The RTC test evaluation was completed on 14th August and the report hasn't been published yet. It will be a blockbuster if the views of Professor John Bell are worth considering. He seems to know what's what ;)

that schools won't run out of home test kits. I am conscious that Gavin Williamson being confident is not too inspiring as an opener;) I do think it suggests that the whole cabinet at least knows what the plan is for mass testing. Interesting that they said 'in time for schools opening '.

1/23 million suggests that this man is a total outlier. Human beings are not absolutely heterogeneous. A few people are bound to have weaker immune responses. It shouldn't make any difference to the broad, overwhelming value of tests for society.

Apparently no 10 have also said there are 3 pilots going on at the moment. One of those will be the Ulster university RTC home test assessment for antibody test ( should be pretty much ready for publication since it was only a sample size of 2000 people). Wonder what the other two are?

Ohmi, did you get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning? We won't have a two tier society. Antibody tests help track the virus because antigen tests only show current infections. We can't afford more lockdowns but we need to snuff out new outbreaks to avoid a second wave. Getting a bit paranoid if you see anything Orwellian about it.
The track and trace is now a worldwide strategy but we need to speed up and make the tests cheaper for governments, businesses and individuals. ODX are centrally placed at the heart of this.

Tory papers get the relevant leaks every time. They will be new generation, low cost, point of care home tests as the Health Secretary told us in several big interviews last week. This is getting bigger and bigger. ODX will sell as many as they can produce to government if this makes the best case scenario for their business growth. I think they will sell a mix of home test antigen and antibody kits in vast quantities. We will use our 100 million capacity per annum in full for the next two years. ODX is the best credible covid investment available right now imho. We will multi-bag several times in the next couple of months from here.

The Ulster self test survey finished on Friday 14th August. Only 2000 participants with mostly binary choice questions on ease of use. Results got to be in by now. Probably just getting it signed off and/or getting it embargoed so that Johnson can say something about it on his first day back from hols!

They haven't really prioritised anything. ODX have said they are flexible in how they respond to demand now that they are extending manufacturing capacity to 2million tests per week. I assume they will prioritise guaranteed orders and consider profitability in that context.

Dougnew, I don't believe you're in mate. You are supposedly 1p off your buy in price with MHRA approval and a major assessment of immunity due out, which will pre-empt a plan for mass testing in the UK featuring one or more of ODX tests. But you are selling? Hmmm. Sad, sad, sad mate.

Why would they bill it as a major announcement if it's about moving the deckchairs? No-one cares. Hope it's about the mass testing program. They have certainly changed the subject successfully on that track. Genuinely positive news story potentially attached to a serious achievement if they are on track to deliver.
