The Ulster news was produced by the team leading the trials. They have confirmed they are on track in a very positive video this week. Read the material that the lead research teams put out. Totally ignore the dumbarse trolls.
Don't assume because we haven't had an update about antigen tests that nothing is happening. As MB pointed out we have just had massive news from Mologic without constant updates on incremental progress. They don't have to worry about anxious shareholders.

It wasn't fake news. There were two tests being done by Ulster university using the RTC. The press release from the Ulster team was widely shared and the confirmation of a test for 2000 people was shared by the team recently. It took place in the week to 14th August. Another test for 3000 people was also planned. They were meant to be looking at ease of use and separately at immunity. There's now another big study looking at immunity with health workers. Loads of trials happening.

The schedule of work suggested the antigen test wouldn't be out till year end so they wouldn't be CE marked yet. It looks like they will be moving production according to demand though which has always been implied when they have discussed flexible use of production capacity.

Yeah, v counter- intuitive the way the sp is going. The weeks before SNG RNSed their trial results their sp went from 41p to 35p. Closed on the Friday at 35p. On the following Monday it went to £2.00.
I think we might be getting a bit of a tree shake. Good if Sneller is out before the big bangs start. I guess he's already multi-bagged. Maybe he has his eye on another venture by now. There are a couple of IPOs coming out. Who knows but I am not taking it as a negative for ODX. These big investors are quite capable of getting it wrong. He might not see it as getting it wrong. He might just have another plan which could also be lucrative. Very big investors, as opposed to just big investors like us (;), get invited to invest in private companies for example don't they?

Regulator, we have an MTA with Mologic for 4 tests. Two are antigen tests. One is lab based and one is a poc, saliva based test. Check out the investor presentation.
I think pretty soon lab based tests will be for hospital use and pretty negligible elsewhere. In 2 months time we will all be using home care testing routinely. This has far exceeded my expectations in terms of the scope of the ambition.
And does anyone else know who else has what is being described as '20 minutes rapid tests'? Being used in the Hampshire trials.
I am amazed at the coverage of mass testing today. Every paper has it. Anyway, I am meant to be checking an application form for my mate so enough already! Only got you all to share my excitement with. Lol.

This board needs to cheer the **** up. Read this piece in the Guardian and smell the coffee. The government are planning a mass testing program just as we predicted whilst the trolls were laughing at us. One of our tests is being trialled at Heathrow effectively. Antibody testing is going large and so will the new generation of antigen tests. We have one of the best antigen tests for sure and two of the best antibody tests. This selling must be Sneller. How strange is he? But buying is nearly events now. Decent volume.
There's no schedule been laid out and no firms picked out because Han**** doesn't want to give the press a stick to beat him with. He wants to wait for approvals. He's probably still wanting firm evidence on antibodies but the coverage on new evidence of immunity is growing very strong now. Trials for our tests are done and/or very much underway.
Trolls are all too sad for words. The moon shot is so named for a reason. That's where we are headed. It's taken a little longer than we thought. Who cares? We have a big journey coming in the next few weeks. I am going to get on with other things for a bit. Very confident in my decision.

I must admit I have wondered about that. We always seem to be constant in the ONS surveys. But new people are getting it all the time so by now we should surely be looking at double the recognition of it's cumulative spread by now?
Anyway just saying- another test from the top of the range. Will be going out with ODX branding. We could end up a household name:)

Part of the £500 million is to speed up trials- thank God! My guess is we will compete very well with the 100 companies. We are pretty much the epitome of standards they want- fast, accessible, results can get sent in on an app, highly specific and sensitive. And we finished trials for the RTC with just the report to come.
Oh and much less expensive.
The aspiration is now being framed as- the whole population having weekly tests so that 'things can go back to normal and we may not even need social distancing '. Even bigger than my expectations!

And yesterday the Guardian said the University of Cambridge found that 100% of people who had or have had cv19 were found with a combination of high quality antigen and antibody tests. They recommend using both tests.
We are getting there. It's taking a little while longer than we thought but that's ok.

Thanks for sharing Kilkenny Ted. The video which introduces the RTC and the app to go with the test is excellent. It saysit's role- first to protect health workers and then to 'go out to the wider public to help us get out of lockdowns and manage the cv19 pandemic faster'. It confirms our more optimistic expectations. This is intended to go very large and they are very much putting their eggs in this basket for antibody tests.

Mystery of the massive market cap solved then jdt. You got a hedge fund in AVCT on 3%. So they get in nice and early in amongst the animal spirits and boom! The difficulty for you is you have had your boom. When your traders start getting itchy feet and selling those bad boys will quite happily loan their stake to shorters again and again. And then..pfffft. End of inflated sp.
And DOH, no point being snobbish about manufacturing. We need billions of tests. And we can supply 100 million a year. When this virus goes ODX will refocus to meet the next diagnostic challenge. Because that's how talented they are as engineers. If you have been paying attention the government intends to position us as a country with a world class diagnostics industry. We'll be fine. MB, totally agree AVCT looking a bit overvalued/ overbought but good luck to them obvs. It would be funny if it was Mologic's though. As Rarahh suggests we will see a benefit if it is. Tbh I think all of the new generation tests will sell fast especially those which are ready and approved this year.

Yes ODX have an agreement with Mologic to manufacture 4 antibody and antigen tests. The poc antigen tests will be out between November and January although the schedule as a whole will be dependent on demand for each product. ODX are flexible and have total capacity to produce 100 million tests a year.
No. Antigen tests are not being held back. Matt Han**** has referenced a new generation of tests which are subject to assessment now.
The poc antigen test is being trialled at Heathrow and will also be looked at by Condor according to reports in mainstream press.

Guardian coronovirus live has reported a government spokesperson saying there will be a new series of adverts launched this week to support getting people back to work safely. There will be new guidance to reflect a campaign 'All in Together ' to include more information about what to expect from NHS Test and Trace. I am feeling very positive about this. Might be a good way to introduce mass seroprevalence using antibody tests to really see how we're doing.

The RTC is a government backed consortium. Orders of about 10 million guaranteed but once the big immunity research is in humongous orders are very likely to fit in with the national mass testing strategy. Any spare capacity will be available commercially and for international markets.
All Mologic tests will be available for local and international markets. In a global pandemic which is threatening world economies.

I have looked at CTEA. I can see how it could work. As I said in my comment it's the concept of an 'immunity passport ' that's getting a kicking. If it were branded in a different way- maybe just a part of test and trace systems (in that both antigen and antibody tests could be needed to recognise that someone is virus free if you don't have antibodies for example, because you have never had it) I can see it going large. An ' immunity passport ' that depends on you having recovered from cv19 could encourage the idea that getting it will confer an advantage. It might obvs. But extremely risky approach and undermining the public health message. Language matters in getting a big campaign off the ground hey?
