Immunity passports are very controversial. The Telegraph touted them as Johnson's big idea. A lot of people have criticised the concept- a bit too big state. Won't work without a huge consensus. I can't see it. I think the stronger likelihood is that employers and airports, events organisations will require an antibody and antigen test to be taken at regular intervals. Commercially the value for investors is pretty much the same imho.

They haven't confirmed the price yet. The papers are saying the antigen tests will be £30.00. ODX won't get that much but if that's what they sell for I would be surprised if ODX doesn't get a better price than what has been considered previously.

We will get orders of course but we are very likely to get a re-rate once we get confirmation of the results from the independent assessment and home test user satisfaction. AVCT have sold precisely nothing. Market cap £400 million. We will have a lot of news coverage once it's publicly acknowledged that the RTC is the best antibody test in the world. And once the scientific consensus on immunity is clarified we won't be just using antibody tests for prevalence tracking. They will be part of the tools needed to build confidence.

My favourite sentence in both the Mail and the Indie coverage is: The tests could be available for as little as £30.00. Cor blimey! ODX will have capacity for up to £100 million per year. Some of those sp forecasts for £5.00 plus don't look so unlikely with that kind of pricing policy.

If the British Dentistry association have been authorised for distribution it means MHRA approval must be about to be announced surely? And it's very portentous about how significant this test is going to be.

Ethio, when did we get formal confirmation of the report on high accuracy from Ulster university? Not been published. That's the point of the article. Abingdon say it's coming soon.

'Bell told the Guardian, he had not been involved in the latest assessment but from what he had seen "It was as good or better than anything else I have seen, and of all these other tests, it is made in the UK so there will be security of supply. I am sure it's a good test"'. :)

Rararrh, there were 2 tests but we haven't had the outcome formally of either. You must have dreamt it but that's fair enough when you are invested ;)

New article out now in the Guardian. Unfortunately it's headlined and discussed as an academic from Birmingham university having a row with Abingdon and Sir John Bell. However Abingdon have responded to the criticism about their tests being managed 'in secret' by pointing out that the Ulster assessment is ready and confirmed 99.4% accuracy. They say more details to follow. Sir John Bell also repeated his view that the tests are amazing and agrees that data should be available for independent scrutiny. Trust the Guardian. Sigh. Managed to undermine the biggest scoop of the year by getting involved in a little jealous academic scrap. Sir John Bell won't even get a scratch from that. I expect we will get the real story in the morning from the Telegraph. Ah well. We know it's coming now.
