Trump has accepted: pandemic worse in the US22 Jul 2020 12:02
Yes it seems the monster has turned to face the truth. Interesting that he's now promising a strategy having previously undermined Democrats attempts for a new testing budget. But that was when he thought it would disappear. So aside from the nonsensical reality of a man like that occupying a role like his, the fact is he seems to be facing up to the need for action. We've now had two big, credible studies- the Crick study, referenced in the Guardian yesterday and one from New York, covered in the NY Times, which are recognising the value of antibody tests to recognise immunity for many months and to detect people who have had the virus but are asymptomatic as well as those with serious illnesses. Dr Hand, from the RTC, telling everyone that the vaccine will be used with antibody tests to help manage the roll out. So far the government have bought 190 million vaccines. They aren't exactly stingy on the budgets for public health in the UK atm. £5 billion in the PHE budget for testing. Pressure is on. Supply is all being set up. RNS coming by the 'end of July' to announce our first UK order. CEO negotiating options to see internationally if there is spare capacity.
Ducks in a row? This is going to go ballistic.
