This is a blockbuster for sure if your timescale is longer term. I intend to shut shop as an investor by June. Been doing it for 4 years and getting closer to my goals so new adventures for me after that. I expect to see £4 here before then.
25 million sounds like a lot of PCR tests for the states. But the US are part of the G7 commitment to support developing countries access tests and vaccines. They have committed over $10 billion as of February 10th to the ACT program so far.

25 million tests a year. 100,000 x 250 (days in a year, less weekends and public holidays- though the US are stingy about public holidays). 25 million x £10.00 which DB said would be GDR's price per test. £250 million a year for one part of their portfolio. The point of care mobile PCR tests will be a worldwide leader in my view, if they are as good as expected.
The polymese bead technology is already ready for commercialisation so the credibility of the company is firmly established. The poc will be approved. Absolute blockbuster about to go large.

We don't need to 'ramp'. We need to keep restating the fundamentals regularly to remind people that they have made a bloody fantastic investment decision. Because investors are an anxious group and they have put their hard earned dosh into play, hopeful of a great return. I came in because I did the maths. BC expect to sell 100,000 tests a day in the US because GDR technology enables faster production. That was there expectations in August 2020. Biden is much more focused and coherent in his plan for testing than Trump. Not hard obviously but he has a multi billion budget for this as do the UK.
You don't have to deramp other shares to promote this share. Lots of investors are in more than one cv19 play. And it makes you look desperate. Confidence is catching.

ODX are the preferred supplier. No risk. No worries about which test makes the grade. What a great position for investors who took a chance on this small, profitable diagnostics company who are now growing faster than any of us anticipated when we first bought in last April. Start of the journey now. Exciting times.

I know it's old news JHayes. I did say it was from August. The reason it's being shared now is that the investment was August, the assumption seems to be that this is about the Genedrive technology and it sets out the scale of the sales expectations. 100,000 additional tests per day. So I guess the Twitter research team for GDR thinks that is what we are going to hear about on the trading update. Which will be phenomenal. Definitely getting me off the fence for to add again to my GDR position anyway.

Twitter has a press release from the US HSS on the GDR site from last August. It's flagging up that the US government invested $6.5 million to 2 laboratories to increase PCR tests. The two companies supplying the equipment to the labs are Beckman Coulter and Thermo Fisher. The comment from BC says that they will be bringing in technology to increase production across 10 sites by 10,000 a day. So 100,000 tests a day. It must be Genedrive's polymese bead technology. The statement is forward looking. 100,000 tests x £10.00. X 352 days? Ish. This sp is going up 5 times at some point in the next few months. Then add the value of the point of care tests. Monster in the making. Well, it could be but they will certainly have takeover bids when they start generating those kind of revenues. So, win, win? Maybe win, win, win ad infinitum.

All the credible diagnostics firms will get some interest. ODX will do very well yes, CWalsh, and I am guessing GDR will get a nice lift tomorrow too. We've all experienced how quickly this share price can move with some decent volume. Relatively low mc and not many shares in issue. Prospects are bloody brilliant. Serious commitment in a joint venture from a pharma giant with the best PCR technology and a new portable PCR coming onstream too. So for new investors we should be hot property.

All the embarrassing and ridiculous allegations of the trolls and derampers kicked off the pitch. Still it's nice to hear that CK has no doubt that ODX will get a fair price from government; that the loan of the equipment is to ensure they get up to speed on time to meet demand; that they were part of PA Consulting's role to find manufacturers to meet the demand for 2 million tests a day: that they are already making tests in line with commitment laid out to investors up to 900,000 a week already and on track for 2 million a week for April. That ODX are confident about demand for ABC19. Felt sorry for BigJock even having to ask the question about whether the loan would affect the bottom line. And obviously the answer was a big fat: nah! Derampers- give up.
Btw Wolf spent 3 days on the GDR board deramping before telling us he bought when the sp was at a peak. Then telling us he sold 2 days later on a dip. I am not sure he's alright upstairs tbh. No-one takes him seriously there. Please don't send him back though!

Strong buy is for GDR. But please stop deramping other credible covid players. The new generation of lfts are 98% sensitive. GDRs portable poc PCR will also have massive demand but they are much more expensive ( and therefore more profitable). The BC/GDR partnership is absolute gold dust because PCRs will remain the gold standard. They measure viral loads. Then there's BCs plans for other tests to distinguish between mutant variants which I am guessing will also benefit from the faster production that GDR technology offers. Lfts and PCRs serve different purposes in bringing an end to the pandemic. I am in more than one covid play. As are many investors.
Hoping that when ODX moves it will have a positive impact here too on Monday. Often works that way. It will draw attention to the industry as a whole and then new investors start taking a look at all the comparable firms.

Khizer, I already answered your question about profit per test this morning and you said thank you. You are asking exactly the same question. Check the investors presentation on the ODX website if you want reassurance. I also pointed out that the contract we have now is with the DHSC. We haven't been told the price per test. They paid Innova and Surescreen about £10 a test. Costs of production vary depending on volume and the type of test from about 80p. The contract will show pricing policy and we may find out about costs for the new test in an RNS or we may have to wait for a trading update or the end of year accounts.

Does anyone think that the giant iis will finally get up off their knees and put our pension funds into ODX when the PM tells the world about the new generation of lateral flow tests with near perfect accuracy? That ODX and GAD will be manufacturing? ODX is the only partner listed on the stock exchange for antigen lfts. I for one would like to see my pension funds actually making some proper money this year. So far I am getting a better return on my investment myself than they are and I am paying them fees for those non existent returns! Here's hoping.

Lfts most certainly are going to be used for mass testing. New tests coming out are now 98% sensitive. We will hear all about it on Monday. PCR tests will also have a long term role. But to suggest lfts aren't going to be massive is denialism at it's worst. NCYT is a great share. ODX will be flying soon though. No doubt about it.

ODX had previously agreed a pricing policy with Mologic for up to to £3.50 depending on the test. This contract is with the DHSC. They have paid Surescreen and Innova considerably more than that. More like £10.00 a test. Perhaps because of the scale of the order they are asking for. Whilst it's cheaper to produce at scale it also means that the company may have to commit the majority of its capacity and therefore reduce opportunity for other tests for HIV and CD4 worth up to £15. They are in a good position. We will soon find out.

The writing is writ large. In the Huffington Post. They reported that we were getting the contract before we got the RNS. They told us before the FT. Now they are giving us more detail. Either Mologic's tests or Avacta's or both depending on results. Both are saying their results are much better than Innova's. ODX is the only certainty.
