If you look at all the base metals they've all taken a hit today so this is not as a result of China ramping up nickel production. Horizonte is merely reflecting what's going on elsewhere.
If you look at nickel in the medium to longer term everybody is still predicting a supply squeeze 3 to 4 years out from now. That hasn't changed. Also, the Chinese might be bringing new mines and processing plants on line but don't forget the other end of the equation. Mines don't produce forever, they have limited lifespans.
As for batteries there will be all manner of chemistries used in the coming years some with nickel, some without. Nickel in batteries will be needed for years to come.
Horizonte's big advantage is its not Chinese it will be producing in the lowest cost quartile and, last but not least, its ESG credentials (not as big a plus as the first two IMO). That's about it apart from the fact that todays wobble is simply a buying opportunity.
