RE: 4 million euro13 May 2026 10:12
GTK has recently been involved in international collaborations around mine tailings valorisation and low-carbon materials, including African mining-related projects.
3. Better geological modelling and resource expansion
GTK has strong capability in:
* geophysical surveys,
* 3D geological modelling,
* prospectivity analysis,
* remote sensing,
* and machine-learning-assisted exploration.
At Uis, this could help Andrada:
* identify extensions of pegmatite systems,
* improve resource confidence,
* target higher-grade lithium zones,
* and potentially discover additional satellite deposits.
Because pegmatite systems are structurally complex, advanced modelling can materially improve drilling efficiency and reduce wasted exploration capital.
4. Environmental and water management
Namibia is water-constrained, and environmental performance is increasingly important for financing and offtake agreements.
GTK has dedicated expertise in:
* mine water systems,
* hydrogeology,
* tailings stability,
* waste management,
* and environmental monitoring.
That could help Andrada:
* reduce water usage,
* improve recycling rates,
* strengthen ESG credentials,
* and lower long-term closure liabilities.
This is especially valuable if Andrada wants partnerships with European battery supply chains, because EU buyers increasingly scrutinize environmental performance and traceability.
5. Position Andrada within Europe’s critical minerals supply chain
Europe is aggressively trying to secure non-Chinese supplies of:
* lithium,
* tin,
* graphite,
* rare earths,
* and other strategic minerals.
GTK is deeply connected to EU critical-minerals policy and industrial research networks.
A collaboration with GTK could help Andrada:
* gain technical credibility with European investors,
* align with EU battery-material standards,
* strengthen grant/funding opportunities,
* and improve visibility with downstream processors and OEMs.
That strategic credibility can matter almost as much as geology when raising capital for lithium development.
