I've always assumed that overseas companies report every 5% but that may not be correct. It might be more informative to go back through all the TR-1 notices issued to date on Horizonte. That might give a clearer picture.

Its an interesting issue to speculate on but it isn't as straight forward to identify who might be selling, if anybody, as my original post suggests. Canaccord, for example holds, at 145m, a fraction over 10%. If they were to drop below 10%, and they wouldn't have to sell many to do that, they'd be obliged to report having done so. Teck, on the other hand have 14.5%. They could sell all the way down to 10% before they'd be obliged to notify the company. That could release over 65m shares into the market before we would see a TR-1. I'm assuming both Canaccord and Teck, being overseas, would only need to notify the company at the higher 5% threshold.

Neither could be selling and it could simply be down to one or two PIs. Updating the Share holders list in March might clarify matters although it probably won't.

His view is something we can identify with if you are in Horizonte for the long term. Why sell out at base camp when to ascend the peak will be so much more rewarding.

Sirius Minerals was never a certainty and it still isn't now that Anglo American have got their hands on Woodsmith. How do you make a project that needs to mine and sell 10m tonnes work in a market that's currently barely 1.5m tonnes?

I strongly suspect that you will see AA submit an application to mine the potash instead of the polyhalite in the not too distant future.

This has nothing to do with Horizonte or nickel but I thought it worth posting given the recent discussions on the board to do with predictions from the likes of Peel Hunt, Cantor etc. The first link takes you to an article from March 2016 where the CEO of the worlds largest copper company, Codelco, outlines where he thinks copper prices will go for the rest of 2016 and into 2017. In that article he predicts that copper prices would remain around the two dollar level for the next 2 years. He should know, right, after all he's CEO of Codelco.

The moral of the story, if there is one, even the smartest of people with access to the best information get it badly wrong. Just becuase Peel Hunt and Cantor are saying xxxxxxx doesn't mean to say they'll be right.

Agreed. There may be a day or two after finance news is confirmed where a few do the usual sell on news thing but that will, IMO, be brief.

The big unknown here, in fact two big unknowns, is what will be announced in the interim on the other projects and will somebody make a move on Horizonte before it gets far too expensive to do so.

And all the while the price of nickel continues its slow, relentless trudge north.

1. Have the reindeer won? - Not quite but they have a commanding lead.
2. Are we out of fluorspar for good? - We will be once Sweden goes the same was as the others fluorspar projects.
3. Is there any hope at all!? - Probably not.
4. Are we still raising funds for the directors to live the dream?- most certainly.

The last RNS was same old, same old. When you get statements like "Soils contain up to 1.63 g/t Gold and 207 g/t Silver (6.04 ounces/ton)." you know they're buttering it up when they employ terms like "up to". That simply masks the reality which is most of the soils contain and awful lot less.

Take the NPV figure for Araguaia Stage 1 with nickel at $18,000/tonne of $885m. That works out to be about £655m or approximately 46p per share, 50% of that 23p. Is the Cantor figure based on where they expect the share price to go once funding is arranged and construction started? It will be interesting to see where the share price goes once these milestones have been met.

Throw Araguaia Stage 2 into the mix then Vermelho, both of which I’d expect to be moved forward while Stage 1 construction progresses, and it’s anybody’s guess as to how high this will go and, more important, how quickly.

The comment about the TSX by the way is the movements relative to volume. They rarely trade seven figures over there but the share price can take giant steps. Nice to watch as long as its in the right direction.

The TSX is a real hoot. Now 17¢ or 9.8p on volume of 122,000. If we reach that level here tomorrow I'll not be complaining.

I'd expect to see Horizonte pass EUAs current share price at some point this year. Their mid price is 30p at the moment. I'd be hughly disappointed if Horizonte did not pass that level before 31st. December 2021.

Horizonte are up to C$0.16¢ on the TSX which is 9.3p on absolutely no volume whatsoever. Once of these days they are going to wake up to this company's potential.

That's BEVs only not BEVs + PHEVs. The combined BEV + PHEV total for the UK in 2020 was 175,082. I have a feeling that the first 6 months of this year might be a bit on the slow side but the last 6 should make up for it. A combined BEV + PHEV total for 2021 of anywhere between 300,000 to 350,000 would be a good result. A 70% CAGR across the board is what we need to see to reach a global total of 40m per year by 2025.

I'm also of the opinion that we will hear something on Vermelho this year. If not quite fast tracking then certainly a significant step forward.

How many years and how much money has it taken them to discover that these fluorspar projects were duffers? How long will it take them to discover the same with the current crop of wannabe prospects?
