It's the same hypothesis with ITV as well at the moment with Liberty Global. That one has been stewing for quite some time to be fair and nothing has come of it as yet.

As with here, will anything come of it? Hard to say. Time will tell.

Yes, my dividend is being reinvested too so the low sp is to our advantage in that respect.

For the moment. Divvi day on Thursday & I reinvest mine. So I am taking advantage of this for extra shares.

I'm afraid I think you are correct. No one gets rich without being as tight as a camel's @rse in a sandstorm.

If he believed £1.80 a pop for ITV was expensive, and he is seriously considering putting an offer in, it's going to happen sooner rather than later, as the current sp is so depressed. I would imagine he would pitch in I would expect, around £1.25 - £1.30 being generous in my view.

Of course we could tell him in no uncertain terms where he can shove it. But this is just my view.

Well this is the thing isn't it. There's no way for the average Joe to know these things for sure is there. If it was that easy, we'd all have a lot more money in our pockets. Still all part of the fun.
