You see this sort of thing on any share that drops on bad news/results. Agreed there are plenty of businesses to buy into, for whatever reason one chooses to do so.

Funny how these shares have the sun shining out of it's@rse when things are rocking for them. The dirst sign of a problem, suddenly "it's a dog of a share" blah blah blah.

That being the case the choice is clear, sell & move on and try to recover your losses.

Also good points about daytime tv being full of shyte, but that said most people are at work during the day and while I agree with you it is crap, but they have to put something on. A bus company such as First, or Stagecoach do not put all their busses in the garage for a rest after they've got everyone to work until they send them out to pick them up again an the end of the working day do they? They keep them out and about to pick up the off peak traffic. Just the same as these ****ty daytime programmes do. Loose women for example, I agree it's just a bunch of men hating menopausal sour faced Muppets taking drivel, but housewives watch and love it unfortunately, so the adverts for Bisto, or Lloyd Grossman sauces give them an Idea of what to do for the family tea and so on.

As much as I agree with you aboutit but this ball locks on daytime tv is as you say utter rubbish but it has its uses.

How on earth do you work that out?

That said 2 of my other holdings (ITV & SGC) have both took a bit of a beasting of late, so this rns is a welcome bit of news for me.

As I say, I've only had the chance to glance at the rns so far. I'll have a proper look later today when our lad gets off to school. The rise in sp suggests it's all good though.

I think that the recent good weather and 2 sets of bank holidays in quick succession have helped quite a bit though.

A Vodafone? Not sure I understand that one. I'll have to look it up.

I'd expect this news to have a positive effect on sp today though.

I don't think Dickenson's show is going to be on for long. It's Just a short term thing I think.

A valid point. To a degree.

The Jeremy Kyle show with its faults is a nice little earner for advertising because of the viewing audience it commands.

I also agree that this blip is an inconvenience in the respect of its absence for who knows how long.

But it's not as if this programme is a stand alone jewel in our crown. Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Britain's got talent and the suchlike are a few others. Lorraine for example to is nothing more than an hour long advertisement programme in my view.

One thing that does boil my p155 is when Piers Morgan is on GMB. Anyone remember him giving Greggs nearly 45 minutes of advertising with those dreadful vegan sausage rolls over the course of 3 days?

There was an article on this morning's programme about how he has helped Greggs achieve an 11% growth in sales over the past couple of months because of that.

Then recently there was the M&S LGBT sandwiches he spent 2 shows bleating about that. Doubtlessly M&S will gain the same effect.

And of course, Warburtons got a good 45 seconds of airtime this morning. All well and good if we are being paid for it.

Just my take on it or course.

I've had a similar thing with Stagecoach, (another of my holdings) when they were disqualified from 3 rail franchises.

Long story short, it tanked. But the point is is that it is recovering from it.

I don't see any reason why the same thing cannot or will not recover from this.

I really can't see if this has much of a bearing in the drop in sp today, as I understand it, this bloke diied a week after the programme was filmed so it's not as if he dropped dead on the stage.

I'm going to see what happens here. If sp droppes much further, I may well top up a smidge to average down a bit.
