From the trading patterns it looks like many of the original buys were traders buying RNS news and now selling to preserve their capital coz the SP didn't react quite as expected. That said we have moved up slightly on the net buying of new investors who recognise the long term potential here. Trek Findahappyplace you still following this gravy train??

Looking at the trades there have been some serious indicative buys of over £10k even £80k! That would be very unusual for retail money in this outfit and the large ones may even surpass the float of pro traders. Some could be instis getting a toe in.

I am at last back in profit here and must say I was tempted to sell out as again there is no financial detail in the RNS. We have no idea who is paying who what and as shareholders we should be told more. That does not detract from the fantastic news this deal with EPL is and I do expect many more similar sports deals in the future. It is enough to keep me invested here but it’s still a punt as imho the boards financial nouse is not on a par with their usp’s. If they could get a big player, like Microsoft, to buy into GFIN now that would set of some serious fireworks as the board can play video games while the sponsor deals with the boring pocket money. Trek still interested but only just.

What I don’t understand is why they cant confirm this from the existing drill data. Is it because they need a different rig? Can the technical evaluation be done desk based or is it linked to the PSDM? They have acquired extra 2Ds, seems odd at this stage. Where would they have come from. I assume they are re doing seismic analysis across the acreage to explore linkage and additional deeper pays but how much of this can be achieved from existing samples and results. Can they tell if it is one big analogous field. Trek I think there is more good news here but it’s not all clear to us non oilies.

I made a mistake top slicing VRS, 12000 shares at 56p. Never bought them back as had a decent (for me) holding and kept thinking they would drop back to the 30s again. Got it awfully wrong. Trek’s lesson is let the winners ride as long as fundis look good. Here imo fundis are sound it’s just Mr Market has passed us by. There are top class city boys looking for shares like this and even if they find them they often can’t buy enough. That ironically could be what holds us back a while but PIs will buy and as the MCAP climbs the ladder them City boys may soon be forced to buy. Long way to go but if the products sell it will come. FWIW, I think the major walked from the exclusive deal. Malcy love or loathe does tend to get wind of such things. But by walking it doesn’t rule them out of a future collaboration. This is frontier exploration. It is a lot of risk for one player made worse by the BH politics and Potters inability to land a reasonable deal. This is now imo dependent on another player sharing risk. You can’t do that with exclusivities in place. Anyone else talking would not want to show their hand until such a collaboration was struck, if at all. BH press would be all over it both good and bad. This is the last chance for BPC. After this there will be no more underwriting of future cash calls because if a major(s) have walked then why would you fund Bpc to go it alone. Time to stop dancing around handbags Potter and pick a date even if she ain’t the prettiest coz the lights go on or out in our case v soon. DTM, You’re confident. Must say I thought that with the recent news we would be back to 10 by now. Happy to wait though as I am not all in here. Just enough with some powder dry to average down or happy to see it ride if it comes good. Just 4500 but don't be under the illusion that all these aim directors are cash rich. Although relatively 'small' it's still a good sign. It's good to see that as soon as the close period ended we have had 2 buys, one at 63p and also many previous buys in 50s. Trek

Very poor deal IMO. Price is near lows Barrick are creaming all the merger synergies for themselves and there is no reasonable exit for shareholders who may if lucky only be slightly under water. Psses me off when you read all the financial blurb about how good a deal this is. Yeah for RRS board that can tick off ‘merger’ on their corporate 121s and land a fat bonus and for the legals, brokers and bankers who will do very well out of this. Don’t get me wrong I am all for rewards for performance but this deal is a shocker and if I am still invested will vote no. Trek from a soap box in Devon!
