COPL not flat anymore…!
It beggars belief that directors are permitted to get away with so much BS tantamount to fraud!
I have always said the stock is un investible due to the financials and to be traded only by skin of one’s teeth!
Now that intraday RNS has caught many out! But then some posters thought the JV termination was an opportunity! FFS that’s some serious rose tinted glasses!
HE1 is another, it ain’t easy getting cash look at the crass reasons given for the SHG robbery!
“ As a shareholder in Shanta, we remain supportive of management and their strategy. However, we believe that Shanta's share price may inhibit Shanta's ability to deliver on its strategy and potential to maximise future shareholder returns. Furthermore, the lack of trading liquidity prevents ourselves and other institutional shareholders from being able to exit without risk of causing a detrimental impact on the share price. We believe that it would be beneficial for Shanta, its employees, and its other stakeholders to continue its growth and development as a private company. As part of ETC Holdings, Shanta will benefit from the experience and connections of ETC Holdings and ETG in East Africa and as a result, have additional support during the currently heightened levels of macro-instability.
Anticipating that current pressures on Shanta's operating market are to persist for the near-term and given the significant technical, financial, regulatory and geopolitical risks, our objective is also to provide liquidity to shareholders to realise their investment for cash at an appropriate premium to the current market value."….
Makes GCAT’s challenge pretty difficult imo. Their CEO told the market they had finance turned out they didn’t and he didn’t declare a loan until it mysteriously appeared in the interims! Got away with it!
But then remember I posted about TENT, put itself up for sale as the stock price is so far below the NAV that they can’t get cash now and the best thing to do for shareholders is to sell up! SMS also went recently for a snip below ATH SP
It just seems that the LSE is a flipping minefield atm with companies nowhere near ‘fair value’ and they say it’s over regulated but it don’t look like that from here! Many directors still get away with lying!
Then look at my IQAI up 35% yesterday down 20% today! Thankfully I am aware what’s going on there with the CEO exchanging notes fore stock but many folk won’t know as it is only communicated retrospectively!
Playing these markets is hazardous unless you get lucky or really know your stuff better off sticking your hard earned across a few well known divi stocks imo. The small caps are for beer money only!
Usual caveats
