To all interested, on advfn there is a post copied from MOS re at least 2 private equity firms interested....MM's new after the 17p bid there would be a lull until that bid is increased so they briefly push it to 19 to then drop it below 18 to push some stops out then down further into 17 area again to only push it back to around 20 when bid is increased........then further and last offer around 23 from m & p before the big boys come in and we have out high twenties early 30 talk.....still fancy GTE will do cash shares offer......just my thoughts.....
Silly me, growth funds
Cd, interesting that mi chelverton in the list, I thought they only interested in yielding stocks
Hi wolster, I respect that you have a very negative view on what seems like every post you have on Amer and all I can find here is your positive view on BCN. However as your u have previously pointed out the white elephant in other posts I would like to just add that JW is one of the biggest share holders in Amer with around 3 percent and has purchased around 10 million shares over last year or so. I would therefore disagree with a lot of your rationale. Of course there will be a second and third rig at some stage, you only need to read the tenders on the ONGC Videsh website to conclude that. Clearly ground work needs to be in place before the next phase begins.
Hull, couple of extra bits from me again, same old stuff but the bit not getting much air time is the seismic for taccacho and terracay, huge potential there when the data is revealed and possible targets. But re Indico 2 drilling next, indico 1 was choked right back when Calao drilled so I expect that again and our numbers to drop which may be why they are still saying 5 to 6000 per day guidance especially if they do indico 3 after that. I'm happy to see this through, loads of action over next 18 months.
Wait - Thanks for the update. Very good numbers of our oil sold through the OBA, all ours. The third party oil must be recorded in another way or otherwise would be double counted on the website. Roll on plat 22 which I think was the well that caused issues last year with cement issues so sidetrack could be a double bonus I hope.....
Hi LC, cheers, keep your posts coming...and thanks for your reply earlier. SP dropping is a pain but as things stand I'm a happy hold for a long while yet. What happened to baysilhope, love his posts.....
Although I'd be happy with a 51p bid from GTE, 25 p cash and the rest in shares and I'd hold GTE for a while then !
Big smoke, Amer loads of cash and debt free, GTE only recently issued 300 million on 7.75% bond debt to add to their other pile of debt. PMO market cap 700 million yet over 2 billion of debt and produce 80,000 a day. I'd rather be in Amer myself. Just saying. Our stake in CPO -5 worth our market cap alone
OBA 29th May 4508, 30th May 4414. Nice.
Forgot to add, it's probably more like 6500 per day for AMER at the moment. Should get update soon on Plat drilling, They must be close to testing now or maybe already are and sol news in few weeks or so.
Parreg, all correct. But AMER only have 30 percent of cpo-5. On the AMER website you can see the X factor on most of the blocks AMER are involved with. If you look at the ONGC website you can see the tenders out there. People have winged on her about why they drilled Calao instead of others but it is clearish that ONCG have obligations to seismic and drilling so not always logical on which they drill first. This possible also applied to the OXY farm out blocks which is why that was such a good deal for AMER. There is also a royalty on the blocks. I think that is 8 percent but more informed on here can probably confirm that.
On the rns it stated the date of the sol spud, but on the plat spud it did not and referred to spud as recently. It infers that they are already at 7800 ft with total depth to drill as 9350 ft. So we should get an update in a few days or am I reading it wrong. Cheers and thanks for those who have shared the agm experience etc.
LC, maybe they are saying to us they didn't like JW buying in so cheap so have brought it down so they buy at the level JW purchased his 8 million. Not sure if someone has already said, but re the agm questions. Why have they not bought some at this level as they don't need to wait till after the agm, nice share buy back and then a divi later in year would stop al this thieving.
F1game, many people know and follow Warren Buffet, and his backing of Oxys bid for andarko. I don't think he would agree with you that it's not cool to invest in oil.
Hi colonel drake, re the oil not sold December last year but was going to be sold in q1, do you think any has been sold yet. Cheers
Question for colonel drake, hi, re the OBA figures do you think the increase over last few weeks is due to work overs. ? Is it that they are just pumping the oil not sold in December and making the most of higher prices now. I think they originally said it would be sold in q1 but it does not look like it was. Cheers and thanks for your insightful posts. Looking forward to you update next week on II holdings.
LC, fair points, its just my personal view that a divi would be of value. Also, in the finals he refers to the divi and for shareholders to note the reorganise of reserves or whatever that statement was. So unless it's as you say to reward themselves or maybe some part of the shareholder base would like a divi of why would they have bothered including that statement. Clearly also a buy back would be better before a divi announcement for obvious reasons. All things being equal, I hope this time next year it's the golden eggs rather than the chocolate ones if Amerisur deliver!
Hi luckcounts, re genel and gkp, I don't follow those but did the sp drop as it was seen that the divi was not as high as the market thought and that caused the drop? Otherwise agree with some of the detailed summary you always add. For me, if there was a small divi, just 1/2 p which would cost 6 million and small buyback, that would be a good start. I don't agree re the bit GTE to put us out of our misery with at 25p offer I think you may have said though. Some good news flow this year and the divi etc and I would like to think that it's Amerisur that's doing the hunting rath than being hunted. Haven't done the maths but around 55p ish and we are up to the GTE market cap and debt free. It of course seems like pie in the sky but only not that many weeks ago we were at over 20p and the euphoria of 50p was doing the rounds. If Calao was not a duster and we were drilling sol and the OBA deal had been done where would we have been by now. I am ultra positive re the next 2 years and really hope we are not took out early doors. For me there is clearly some price manipulation going on with all the end of day 16:29:59 A trades to keep this down and hopefully t allow the big boys back in for the next wave up. I'm just topping up along the way, like many I was kicking myself for not buying more when they were 10p when we had gone up to 20p, can't believe the opportunities to grab more at this level has presented again.
Oh, great post and summarys again by colonel drake, and also baysilhope wherever he is lately but always on form, ta
