Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Yes, bots are at it and all those that bought just before the results being forced out by the market at a loss, this will be back above 15 within fortnight and we start getting decent news before AGM and some of the cheese on these boards spread it someone else.
Having a few people posting on here that shareholders losing coinfindence in JW is exactly that
just a few, a lot more see the 2 year view and see the glow of opportunity. You need to peddle your thoughts in a more positive fashion or just sell and move on.
JTD - great find.
There's often the rumblings of posters winging of a cheap takeover. Would it be the case that if ther was a takeover approach out of the blue would Ongc have first refusal on cpo -5 and OXY first refusal on the farm in blocks. So therefore unless it's one of those 2 potentially bidding no one is likely to get away with a cheap offer. I'm thinking this kind of protects against that. Appreciate replies on that please, cheers
Oh and for me I don't see things at all as broken promises more that this is exploration in Colombia. People expect 100 percent on the lot. Six months ago I guess everyone on here would have taken a Calao duster and what we now have an indico as a major success and indeed it is just that.
Willec, many would be happy with 27p this year. for me, it's all about where we are by end of play next year which may sound a cop out I know. Colombia is now getting more attention and why wouldn't bidders for the blocks be thinking they can pick up all and more by taking out Amer at the low market cap at present. The tenders on the videsh website show that lots are going to happen and they are in big. Mariposa doesn't get much of a mention here but that will have more action this year by the looks of it. The OBA deals news within next few months and that without the non cpo-5 drilling this year. Agree, that when we get more info on Calao drill, the market may start to see that a lot of info gleaned than just the dust.
Ho stock able, very informative post. Someone has posted a link to the Ongc videsh website detailing the tenders for cpo-5. Does reading from that give you some confidence. My maybe naive viewpoint looks progressive at least and in a hurry. Cheers
Would also say al be it biting my tongue but for those who may have shorted etc prior to this rns, balsy trade, well done. I was expecting combination crapping from shorters today if we had hot super big.....
And they say a further appraisal well on indico, so three more potential significant producers. Should get a rns on spud relatavily quick. Maybe director purchases today, if so i would say not the biggies like before more the few hundred thousand type. Would have like to have heard what has happened to the December 2018 oil that was to be sold in q1, not long now to sell it then. This would not have been marked up 4p if we had hit.....shocking but as always super top up"
Bays, if your only half right with your views I'm double happy. I'll be swinging up and down in those Colombian coconut trees when news drops. Will be soon but I bet on tomorrow now we have got the 11th out the way. Love your posts with the extras.
Miles, hear and respect your view but JW said the farm out process began in early 2018. If they knew back then the plan was to remove capex requirements and get a good bit of the drilling paid for by a partner. For me it is crystal clear why the drills didn't happen. Brilliant insight and decision making by the board. We are now in a position where there will be a shed full of drills over next 18 months and the risk has been shared. For me, the sp is all about positioning. Simple as that. The gears are being grinded and have been for a few weeks so the lot of em can get in first....how the dirty market is. I should think there are loads of posters on here that have seen all of this before. Just mention PMO and what happened ther before the bonds were converted. The bull was untrue and the manipulation after the unexpected result at Zama caught a lot of shisters out....just my opinion....
Hi willec, not sure where Wooster gets 2 billion from but maybe from the proactive investors article on Feb 12th, it says similar sized companies in llanos basin have turned down offers of 2 billion dollars
Totally agree we were lied to, I can't believe the remain camp got away with it. I can't believe article 24 is not in main stream news yet either. Shocking. We're treasure island for the EU now but we get to keep the treasure after March 29th....in my option of course....sorry to drop Brexit on here.....
There's a chewy mention on proactive investors from 3 today if anyone time to read
I'm hoping that just by selling a bit it will draw out another potential bidder which must be MA big worry. If there was a bid for say 10p which I by the way hope doesn't happen what would MA do, does he then have to bid his highest paid price when buying in again last Feb. I haven't looked but odey hasn't shorted anymore for weeks so maybe he knows that shorting at this level is futile or that's what I hope....
Oh yeah, and buy back some of the 2021 bonds that are 62p.
Also looking forward to that and hopefully justify a much higher sale value. I have been scanning this BB again for a while and have not seen mentioned that the loses declared on the October prelims of around 500 millions so that would mean no tax to pay on the sale and if debs was bought out then the buyer can carry these huge losses over....that must be worth while surely and the fact the pension scheme is in a very healthy position unlike when BHS went down. Any ideas whether there is a saleable value to the pension fund anyone...cheers
Hi Basilhope, always great read your views. What do you think to the GTE results today including 682 bops re PUT 7
Cheers
I'm only a mere novice but hold here, I expect 1/2 p divi and again 1/2. for interim divi next summer, I would rather see start buying back the bonds at discounted price if they get a good price for Danish asset. Last time I looked they are about 25% cheaper than maturity. What do you think to that scenario? Also the huge reduction on capex into next year will make a big difference to balance sheet. Also expect that debt will be less than 320 million guidance in oct
Agree with that - This board has good mixed views from both angles. We unfortunately don't see the shorts that are below .5 percent. I can't remember which one it was but they closed a good chunk of their short over a very quick period recently. To have had such a big short and then close so quick, seems odd if the share was going to under 10p in my opinion. I postedthe other day re the bonds, don't think I saw a reply but would there be short hedges against the bonds.Last time I looked they were 85p ish. Inereting angle when they need repaying in 2 or 3 years. This maybe what the shorts are banking on to get new equity to close out. Hope I'm wrong and also why I think they should cut back on capex as they have said they would but focus more one sales capex which is why next in that case is doing ok. When I go in next which is hardly ever but never anyone in the shops much but they shift loads online
