Formal sale process or readying a data room for suitors. FACT.

Bulent once again you are not presenting factual information. All talk of a takeover is conjecture and their is no confirmation of total or anyone being engaged in a formal sales process or even of a data room

Exactly the lake Albert project is looking to produce 230k bopd for the next 20-25 years. That’s $5bn per annum with obviously taxes and annual opex to remove. However CNOOC and Total are willing to stump up because on a cost per barrel basis with onshore wells that flow at 10k bopd this is truly world class. 68p a joke

This drop is way overdone. The assets in Uganda are onshore and monstrous with world class flow rates. The fact is that in 2017 when the sale price for circa 22% was set at $900m the average oil price in year was $51. If tullow sell the full 33% for 1.3-1.5bn all the naysayers talking about debt levels will hit the road. If carapa comes in I believe that the full stake in lake Albert will be sold. Our focus will then be prudent focus on operations in Ghana and ensuring Guyana’s potential is maximised. This is stupid cheap at 68p

Plenty of room for continued recovery here. The RNS which was a kitchen sink job to set the scene for incoming CEO did not warrant a 52% drop in market cap. Even if Carapa is a duster this will move up to fairer value in the 84-95p range before the end of Q1 2020. If carapa hits it will be an immediate rerate to >£1 before new year. GLA

I think there will be some resistance to cross the hurdle that move mcap back over £1bn. Based on 1,406,580,000 shares in issue breaching 71p market may need news of significance to land. Carapa needed for blue sky £1>. I’ll be holding until carapa news lands as zero upside in Guyana priced in.

M&G validation very very positive. They must have dumped on open Monday AM and appear to have worked some large buys on the drop below 60. Actually have to commend them! This drop has been way way overdone. 90p would is still a 35% discount to last Fridays closing price and probably the fair reaction to revised production outlook.

When this is sorted and perhaps TLW offload the full 33.33% stake rather than retain 11% for circa $1bn to focus on guyana £1.50 beckons. Debt is there but can be managed between now and 2021 and 2022 payments. BOD have kitchen sinked it with the update to attract a CEO who can walk into the org with expectations on the floor.

Thunder or anyone else who can help. When was carapa spud. I think 20th October based on heresay and interview disclosure by Gil Holzman at eco Atlantic. That would make it 51 days since spud by my maths.. does anyone else have a spud date for carapa and please reveal source of info. Cheers Trade

Mccadder based on Exxon’s strike rate in neighbouring starbroek block a play opener in the cretaceous would be very welcome. I hope the belts are tightened everywhere other than the on the forward plan for guyana exploration. The Hammerhead result seemed to move the goalposts and presented clear targets that were greatly derisked by HH. Get the stena forth out onsite in Q2 and drill 3 back to back Cretaceous targets!
