The server manufacturers are working with Ethernity to develop a product for their engaged clients. This is developing a complete solution into a ready market. It may or may not be replicated many times over with service providers globally. There will in my opinion be chunky engagement payments from these potential contracts, certainly substantial design payments.

Ethernity are embarking on a massive growth route, we don't know exactly when it will start but it will not be long now. Yes it will start small but this is all about mass deployment so numbers will be huge.
I feel sure that this year they will wipe their own face. Next year we'll see £10m + profit. Year on £30m.

What you need to remember with 5G is that it won't come into your home as it doesn't penetrant. It won't work through brick and tile. It's a real issue and a whole new market

Yes indeed. Late last Summer David made reference to potential income from IP transactions. I believe that we are about to hear of a deal and they just remembered that they have not yet disclosed the patent approval.

Sorry I am having some fun with this. Let me tell what this is all about.
Summer last year David was electronically notified about the successful patent appeal. Soon after Ethernity started R&D and since having built a working concept have been speaking to potential markets. Currently they are receiving interest and it's time to tell the market. This stops others heading the same route and tells those engaged that Ethernity holds the rights. Now this product is becoming valuable IP which they may licence, sell or lease.

It certainly was never a rubber stamp event Reches in Tel-Aviv dealt with the application and the the appeal. 24 August 2020 it was awarded. The question is why tell us now. Why tell us that it forms conversation with clients.

Sergi did you know that the patent was rejected in 2019 and appealed by Ethernity in August 2020. The original application was very broad. The award has been updated to the requirements of the day and some aspects were rejected. The full approval is now granted. All a matter of public record.

The IPO disclosed the awarded patents. However this was not. The significance is Now. This is very relevant still and Levi ET Al saw this a very long way off.
The significance is not just for Ethernity but any user who deploys products using this again very broad concept. Currently we are seeing IP claims against large interests using unprotected property. It does not matter if they were first to market or not if Ethernity hold the patent.

Not exactly the same as clearly they can't see the future that clearly but quite incredible similarities. The file is submitted on a idea and awarded once proof of concept is audited. I suspect that they have pursued and arranged this concept as the requirement is now.

This patent is for the wireless backhaul and SD Wan markets, does that tie into 5G.... Possibly in remote applications but in Private networks which really are where we are expecting to see the first deployments. So not on the public network this could be your fishing boat, tractor, aircraft, train etc.

I think the important thing to take from this is these are the actions of a successful, organised and forward thinking business. Not the desperate actions of a business struggling to place product and fighting for daily survival. The share price says that they are struggling but it is quite clear that it is business as usual investing time and effort to protect future opportunities. Interesting that David is tieing it to current discussions with clients.

I suspect that this is in response to market opportunity. There is a IP grab going on east to west and this is Ethernity being proactive about the next step.
I suspect that backhaul and SD Wan are the next real challenges to connect to the network from millions of new sources. 5G will have many applications where 100% success is critical. I suspect that attention is turning that way.
5G is struggling with monetising the service and zero latency, guaranteed connectivity is a way with premium applications.

The wireless aspect of some functions I suspect is a method to guarantee continuity coupled with a data blast throughout the network rather than directed on a particular route. I think that this is about sending multiple routes and using the first to arrive burst.

A interesting development just when we thought that we could see ahead very clearly. Very technical and the market won't understand the significance. I believe that this is about prioritising specific data flows. Ultimately about network slicing prime data by the quickest route by sending through the network rather than routed.

I think where people are struggling is that they are seeing "5G" and Ethernity are not involved. Actually China has 5G speed in my places but they don't have 5G performance and depth. The bandwidth to run 1000's of devices super fast can only be done with a mature 5G solution. Ethernity ACEnic-100 will definitely be on the list of approved devices.
