It has been nearly one year since Fiberhome officially took the ACENIC-100 to be part of the fitBNG 2000 & 3000. The share price soared from 25-65p. This was a future market and generally those who bought shares on the back of it didn't understand that.
The fitBNG was not a new product for Fiberhome but this was a massive performance boost for their product. Reports at the time suggested that the market would start to develop in 2020. Fiberhome provide very little information about individual product sales and we have no idea of unit costs.
The fitBNG will be a intrinsic part of Fiberhome networks as it supports two deployment modes it will catch a broad sector of the market. Six months ago Fiberhome described it as a future product. In fact it may not be a either or choice as the fitBNG can be used in Centralised deployment and forward CP.
I suspect that Fiberhome will continue to support many systems and very soon the fitBNG will be deployed in the majority. It is available to the China and India markets right now.
I suspect soon that we will see the ACE-NIC200 release and this will open up many new parallel markets for similar licensing agreements and third party deals even in competing products as Ethernity are leaders here.

They did say that in the RNS. I guess that the EGM will be end of the month. If there is a placing I suspect end of June. However I would be surprised if they have to go that route.

I would definitely maintain my percentage if offered the chance even at market price. If I were holding at 130 I would be wondering what went wrong but with a average in the mid 30's even if there was dilution slightly below I would not be concerned. It is not like this is a exploration company that will need to do this every year. This time next year the company will be cash positive by quite a long way by the looks of it. If it has debts to repay with interest or shares issued at below the market rate it amounts to the same thing.

I see the most likely outcome is the grant and a fundraising instrument that doesn't dilute or is a opportunity to hold a volume not available on the market at market price. I hope that it also introduces some liquidity.
I strongly suspect that there are Israeli investors keen for a piece of this company.
I don't see David giving anything away and believe strongly in the methods of Jewish wealth accumulation through buying and selling to their own.
I also believe that the AIM is borderline disfunctional for Ethernity and there may be a plan to do this differently. Lots of options without a prostitutional placing.

I view it completely differently and for me I will be buying before we find out. I suspect that they are confident of receiving some government support and a placing suggestion is really a fallback position as they are duty bound to protect the Company. I don't rule out a loan from Directors or another source like a advance payment for a contract.
The pay cut is not significant in size but is in timing. It shows a willingness to support backed up by the purchase. Neither were demanded but both were delivered freely. It shows a plan to support the company not themselves personally.
So now tell me why they would willingly screw existing holders including themselves.
I see many companies where the management are in it for themselves only. I don't feel that here.
I will be a buyer until June and if I get the chance will put funds into a placing. If I don't I will leave the scrabble to buy post disclosure to the pack.

It's far from certain and lots can happen. If I were looking to take a substantial holding right now I would be wondering where the shares will come from. I don't think that David would pay 40p if he thought that he could get a big chunk for less. What was the purpose of the buy? Why now when he has a 50% pay cut.
I just think that we are not seeing a normal event here.

The RNS of the 6th is really the most detailed we have seen. Of course we know why now.
I find myself wondering if that level of disclosure was delivered just so David could buy 56k shares. The fact that it was announced within just over one hour also makes me wonder.
The detail about discussions with potential 5g customers and licensing deals is almost a throw away. Licensing deals are really where it will be at in 2021. Ethernity have nothing like the exposure of these licensing partners and Ethernity will have multiple. Yes they are still future markets but they are looming real.

Will we see 50p this week?

Possibly in concert with the directors but I don't think that they will want to take this private again.
It would make no sense trying to support the share price now if that were the case.
I believe that the suggested scenario of back stopping the Israeli government help is likely true. I suspect that they won't want to dilute anywhere near the current price.
I remain very optimistic about this share and will continue with 2 or 3 small buys each week.

Thinking about David's buy It's not a small purchase but compared to his holding absolutely tiny. It took one hour fifteen minutes to announce to the market. The previous update was much more comprehensive than we are used to and it hasn't been long since the last one. I assume that the update was to allow David to buy and to flag the EGM. He didn't need to notify the market immediately but choose to.
Obviously there is something going on. I wonder if someone is sniffing around for a deal on the business or a part of the business.

I wonder if the fitBNG is gaining any traction for fiberhome. The market is certainly approaching now for virtual platforms.
Ethernity have turned our attention to UPF as it is here now. However fiberhome are marketing the fitBNG using Ethernity ACENIC-100 and virtual firmware. This is a emerging market but fiberhome has big players engaged already on many projects, it would be natural for them to look to fiberhome for their gateway requirements.
I also wonder about the Korean server sales with Ethernity acceleration. This is all about the edge. Just talk still but it is looming as a market.
I see this all coming together in 2021.

David seems to have increased his holding by 111000 shares according to the director dealings page.

I suspect that he has a International trading account and traded on the open market. It is quite normal to pay a premium for size. That is why I strongly suspect that there will be a interested party wanting a big chunk at the going rate.
What would a £1m buy do to the share price.

Dallo 40p is today's price. I don't think that we'll see a placing until middle of next month. If they base it on the average of the previous 5 days minus say 10% by then it could be from 55p.
40p is just where the MMs have it now it is merely a snapshot.
I suspect the EGM will be in 2 weeks. Then I suspect that they will want to see if they get government funds. If say they get $1m from the government and they bring in a couple of boutique institutions and directors buy they could do that all from Israel.
Don't forget that if a boutique institution wants say 5% they could never accumulate that on the market now. If David buys more it will be a clear signal to the market.

£4m would buy them 12 months. They have income and opportunities to earn much more from milestone and design payments.

There are 33m shares so it would total 41m. The dilution would be offset by £4m in the bank. The percentage would be 25% or so. Not exactly huge.

Makes sense to me.
