Possibly but it’s not easy or quick to get a GP appointment around me. 2 weeks minimum. So depending on cost self tests are a good first step in a lot of cases and if they show any cause for concern can actually cut down on wait time to see GP. I say this from personal experience. I guess that it puts the onus on the self test to be very sensitive.

Because it’s a small part of my investment doesn’t mean it’s a small amount of money. Because it’s a punt and changes by the day, then it needs my attention like ABDX. The bulk of my shares are dividend paying and I review them every 6 months.

Why would I sell Avacta at current SP when there is still a fairly good chance that the share will rise? But I’m certainly not going to buy more until the offer.

As usual misquoting me.

I said my punt money tied up here. As I’ve posted before, Avacta makes up a small part of my share portfolio and a much smaller part of my overall investment portfolio. However my main investments are in dividend paying shares and I was not prepared to to sell some of those for a gamble. RR pays lousy dividends. As it happens I was wrong. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I limit the percentage of my share portfolio that I am prepared to gamble on punts at anyone time and this keeps my potential losses manageable

Do you actually need more shares. If thus is as big as we hope. Then only strategy is to minimise impact of dilution. So wait until offer is announced. If SP has risen a bit by then so what. GREED is the enemy of the niaive investor

If this is going to be as big as we all hope, then adding to your investment now isn’t going to make much difference. What’s £1 million compared to £2 million. But if it goes sour you’ve thrown good money after bad.

But really you should be saving cash for the inevitable fund raise which could be at 20p the way we are going.
