Indeed thats so but I tend to doubt that much will come of this nevertheless exciting link. After all, Genmab (No 5 !) have already moved swiftly. Its just MO but after all this time we still await any further developments from BioNTech with all of Scancells amazing progress.

I wonder what that amounts to ? I dont think Scancell received any "consideration" for this exclusive option did they? Im wondering if this tie up may amount to no more than BioNTech having the first chance to make an "offer" which Scancell are not obliged to accept and in reality that offer would I daresay have to match any interest from anyone else. I feel BioNTech might have taken things further before now if their intentions were serious - maybe they are hoping to bypass Scancells progress with what comes from their own tunnels, (so to speak).

Yes Cleaner - Im just guessing that case will take years to reconcile. Thankfully Scancell should have no such problems if all is well.

Over the last days I see BioNTech have been mentioned as to possible moves towards Scancell.

I have two thoughts on this :-

1. BioNTech are IMO immersed in MRNA and although they are aware of Scancells progress they are unlikely to be moved from that tunnel - almost in the same way, that Prof. Lindy is not likely to embark on an MRNA project, (no chance).
2. If Scancell trial results come through positively then there will be bigger and more appropriate suitors.

BioNTech have been in close touch Scancell wise for SO long already and have known whats afoot - maybe tunnel vision is a factor. Time will tell.

Just my thoughts - but I dont care where the GBP8 comes from LOL.

God knows a better Covid vaccine would be welcome but Scancell LTH can surely be confident anyway, with news expected soon from the cancer platforms.

Matt I agree. Lets face it the last thing the NHS needs at the moment is yet another wave of Covid going through. Act NOW Rishi !

The rapid antigen/lateral flow tests seemed to have signaled the start of our Covid infections and the ends too, with reliability. Thats not a scientific judgement of course but that is our experience. They are easy to use and cheap to find. IMO a good tool. We use them as a precaution before and after visits and so on.

Id rather not have Covid around at all but if it is to be - please bring me Covidity!!

And just noticed this over there, (Marking Time) :-

More than half of passengers on a flight from China to Italy have tested positive for COVID-19 - as China prepares to open up its borders despite a huge surge in infections. Two flights into Milan were among the first to see passengers subjected to new mandatory testing imposed on Chinese travellers.

On Wednesday evening the US became the fifth country to impose restrictions on Chinese travellers - as China prepares to issue ordinary passports and visas in a huge step away from COVID measures that have isolated the country for nearly three years.

Johnny thanks for the National Geographic link. The Journalist has put together a good article with some clear explanations. The article develops it's subject well and has good illustrations as you would expect from 'National Geographic' which is a world-wide institution.

But whilst the NG article identifies the problems it gives no inkling at all that one Company at least may have solved the issue of a sufficiency of T-cells to tackle the cancer. No inkling - this the extent to which Scancell remains atm, under the radar. It's stark !

Wake up and smell the coffee indeed ! The coming RNS that updates progress on the trials could have a sensational impact, around the World.

Konar - yes MP Andrew Bridgen has had a chequered history but MP Danny Kruger seems well measured in his approach - his ideas for consideration as put to the Parliamentary Committee were IMO quite reasonable. I particularly agree with Kruger's idea that if some points need to be debunked then the discussion around them must be freely held. I'll be interested to see that. ATB

He starts at 19:39:26 which is 7.39 pm in my language ! He asks a number of questions. makes some interesting points and draws some conclusions of concern.

Some of the points Bridgen makes seem to be true and that alone is enough to raise real concerns about the emergency approval and marketing of the Covid vaccines - but he is an MP not a Scientist and I wonder if any here can cast some more light. My question is not of a vax/anti vax nature - I'm just wondering what a balanced version of the 'truth' is ?
