I agree 100%. Pharma not looking outside the tunnel, or not being able to, will have impacted the SCLP project. The rapid expansion of and the sheer massive potential in SCLP science, is another factor.

Thanks. As we all know too well, it's not just your 'cared for' or Ivy's cousin that struggles with the cancer nightmare - we would all wish you both every possible hope. But every Family faces cancer sometime. My own BiL married to Sis for 54 years has prostate cancer but it has not spread and his Sis' SiL, much younger, has the same, but it has spread.

I remember Prof. Lindy at the Calculus event where she disclosed that 'she wants to cure all cancer' - or words to that effect. That was said with an air of modesty, maybe embarassment and venture. But IMO there is no-one in the World better placed to express such an opinion about this 'Holy Grail' target.

The last point I wanted to make, hopefully the CRUK news will be good. But in the nature of things, just MHO, but something will come around the corner and we won't even sniff it ! Scancell seem to produce the unexpected in Science and maybe, that'll happen in the Commercial field before too long.

IMO it would be wholly regrettable to lose your input. Different views and approaches are part of the 'mix' and it would be unhelpful to just give up. I agree with you that far too many posts are being removed, for whatever reason. This BB is like a gentle tea party these days compared to the past and Admin are overreacting.
