Some great posts today on this disappointing and strange news, so thanks to Mia, Bermuda, EE and all for a good discussion that helps myself and others see into these 'goings on'.

We don't know exactly how these events unfolded, the timing and sequence. I also wish BoD had done better but it's fair to observe that a couple of pennies here or there may not be significant in the grand scheme approaching.

With Genmab getting in deep for a potentail $1.2 billion, there exists the possibility of a Glycans platform buyout if their researches go well. So lots to anticipate.

Violin - whilst still full of hope, I too, am surprised and disappointed by the raise. BoD seemed to have been intimating non-dilutive finance for a while. Maybe their hand was forced by not being able to get a bigger 'upfront' on Genmab Deal 2 or something else has failed to occur or has occured? Who knows ?

Now M. L'Huillier can hopefully start to show his worth by achieving some worthwhile commercial progress.

My guess is that the upfront for Deal 1 of $ 6 million has been increased in Deal 2 to $ 12 million.

Seems to line up with the total $624 million increasing to $ 630 million.

With the benefit of arrangements for the 3 further stage payments remaining the same. That would be simple and easy. Just postulating.

Hi Violin, I personally doubt that FARN will prove to be a better investment than Scancell , (whilst wishing them all the best). You must make your own decision as to selling up here and investing in FARN.

I don't agree with your gloomy closing comments. A Glymab deal/deals would be great but don't forget we have lots more news to come on Scope, Modi 1 etc.

Good point EE. If agreement has been reached on price on the table then maybe we might hear earlier. Otherwise, I guess negotiations could drag out.
