To honour the Referendum decision, to get out of the EU, Mrs May should have run, screaming, screaming, when the 'backstop needing EU permission' was floated as an idea. The whole N.Ireland border as the central problem, was introduced by the EU Ayatollahs at the start, as pure obfuscation. If at that time we'd said, 'yep a tough one but any problems we can sort'.

The EU have played the UK as a Turkey for Christmas. Even now any delay to cost another £10 billion. It's reparations IMO.

I'm NOT a celebrity - 'Get me out of here'. Mrs May - a fine Lady - but, she got these negotiations wrong from the very start. Rather than all this - let's stay - and change the EU from the inside ?

IMO Mrs May has some chance of hanging on - at least until the vote in Parliament. As for replacements - lots of candidates - I'd like to see David Davis do it - he has the EU insights.

From this experience with our 'Friends' - how many Billion will they ask next time ? 100 billion ?

As for Brexit disruption - yes - difficult and horrible for all those affected. But for the EU, 70 billion more Euros of pain p.a. than for the UK - time to play that card strongly - (our deficit with the EU). Mrs May has been heroic in her efforts - mainly in the wrong direction.

Re. TOAST ! Sweet Lord where IS this all going ? I agree that May's 'deal' leaves the UK as a 'vassall State' or a Colony. Even after say 5 or 10 years, we can't get out without EU permission - another 49 billion then I expect.

we can get a result in the Grand Challenge and when Patients go into trials, I think we will see some rerating which is very long overdue. Meantime - oh for a 'left field' announcement !

Moonparty - I wonder how much early stage IP or future rights were handed over - anyway, sounds like a mighty sum. Good luck. China is well known as a fruitful environment and I live in hopes that RG will turn something up for Scancell but I'm not holding my breath. Maybe it'll float a reminder for some other Scancell collaborators as someone suggested? Apparently RG was invited over there so who knows? That said - we're 8 years down the line now or more so if this is a new direction for Scancell ?

C7 suggested that RG's last visit to China years ago may have been for his wife's book launch but otherwise, no other comments about what SCLP's moves in China may have been afoot before.

DA - Triple Combos - I've noticed them before. One wonders what the costs might be ?
