I see what you mean about a name. Well we LTH were 'early birds' but there has been no 'worm' as yet. Even in moments of disappointment or frustration with Scancell, nothing 'ban-able' would come to mind for me about my dear 'ole investment.

As for a name, maybe we are the 'Incunabula' - (had to look it up), 'Pioneers' or similar. I don't regret my 2010 venture but, there's no doubt, 2019 would have been a great starting point in SCLP ! GLA

That news from BioNTech is very interesting - maybe BioNTech don't have so much science potential on hand as little ole' Scancell ? I couldn't really judge that. But from a well funded base, BioNTech seem to have built and built and developed some real muscle in IO . . with Sanofi on the scene too, I'd join Crumbs in this thought, ''I do wonder... will it one day be the mighty trident of Mellman, Sahin, and Durrant all under one umbrella... fast forward 3 years''.

I'm guessing that more than a few of us will be having a late look in on the BB that night - I hope to be waking up to interesting news. We can't of course assume a success for Scancell - but there's a good chance.

I was reflecting - 'Charity Cancer Research UK' is a truly fantastic organisation and putting together these GC Awards may one day trigger some momentous advances in treatment. I wonder what the progress is with CRUK on the SCIB2 study ? We might hope for something startling from that . . .

Rightly or wrongly, I interpreted the original post as simply passing on an impression of a lack of concern.

Thousands of long and pertinent posts with great insights and analysis over the last 7 years have not made any difference to the market - the BB makes little or no difference to the Market (BUT it does keep US in the picture). The BB is valuable of course but there is no evidence of it driving the SP is there ?

I can't agree with your comment to R1 Inan. Whilst Prof. Lindy is no longer joint CEO, I would be very surprised if as a Director, she was not aware of the strategy and the current progress on a regular if not daily basis. So the original R1 comment was not ridculous.

I think my 'face value' response to R1 is respectful and reasonable. We happen to have had a nice bit of blue today but IMO it would be incorrect to think it had anything to do with R1's post and it's not likely that R1 thought he could 'ramp' using that comment - if little ramps worked - we'd have been at £5 long ago.
