Those comments are ill-considered. Until recently you were persistently helpful in copying links and posts from ADVFN yourself - so there is some oddity in you seeking now to belittle me for doing the same thing. SCLP LTH are fragmented over the 2 BB's and there are contributions that many don't want to miss - from Timbo, Gooosed, Bermuda and now, XNC. ONW & Panama 7 can also be helpful and I also see your Pal Katnick there.

Please note that you can CHOOSE to avoid any stuff I post - you claim to ignore mine anyway.

Crumbs isn't the only poster who felt optimistic last week and it's fair enough for him to express his opinion because that's what the BB is for isn't it ? But Crumbs won't always be right, anymore than you will.

I for one, value Crumb's posts and insights. I don't suppose anyone slavishly follows his comments.
Crumbs is one of the most helpful Posters on this BB.

Of course you are much too young to retire Crumbs, so maybe you don't easily identify with XNC's predicament !

XNC is still invested in Scancell and, having had a formative role in the enterprise for some years, his interest didn't turn off when he decided to retire.

I can tell you this, retirement feels like estrangement and interest in prior roles continues.

So IMO nothing weird about it at all and I thought it was jolly nice of the Man to give us a few insights - after all, nothing he said was out of place. I did object to the 'default negative' reaction elsewhere as the authenticy of it all seemed to me, beyond reasonable doubt.

I saw your 09.21 saying 'well said' to Clare. Fair enough, but you (as I) could be among those that she has in mind when making her criticism.

I think optimists had plenty of good reasons to be optimistic about our GC chances.
It's disappointing. Never mind.

I remember earlier discussions about Scancell's shortlisted entry being essentially different from the others - having the involvement of BioNTech and Genentech AND also about Scancell's entry being much more advanced, research wise, than the other shortlisted entries. Comments were made suggesting there was no reason to doubt our eligibility having got onto the shortlist ! That seemed fair enough.

But our entry WAS of a different status as Inan points out i.e. 'we have a fully formed project'. I wonder if that's why we lost out, despite having IMHO obviously the most exciting entry in the 10 and also, having the most eminent team.

Instead of winning because our entry was so different, we lost out. Obviously Scancell knew this was coming and I expect there will an RNS tomorrow to comment on the situation.

Some NEW news would be nice then, (back to that). GLA

Ray 10.54 - agreed 100%. IMHO that's a superb event in Vancouver. Intense and targeted. Scancell are not there but as you say, 'Colleagues' are - and in force. Yesterday's RNS gives me some optimism about events to follow.
