I watched the interesting contortions in various attempts recently, to quantify a valuation for Scancell's bits and the whole. Clever stuff and I'm not knocking it . .

But a little knowledge is a dangerous thing sometimes as we all know - of course DCF etc. are relevant techniques but in the end the price Scancell achieve in any commercialisation will be the price negotiated.

Scancell's bits or whole are worth what someone will pay - the SKY is the limit if Scancell are not backed into a corner and the Kite and Juno bonanzas etc. show what's out there - IMO Kite and Juno got a very good payback indeed.

Crumbs I enjoyed all your posts on this subject today and I think you have it right. Inan's much mocked figures may look illusional as we stand at 5.3p and of course, a discussion can be drawn out until the seas run dry but in the end - the price will be decided by how much Pharma wants it.

But Kite, Juno and all the other deals we see indicate HOW MUCH Pharma wants it. Let's hope they already see or will see Scancell in the same light ! GLA

Inan re. 15.09 - I was commenting on your own words, 'how to destroy Shareholder value'. Posts here are broadly irrelevant to the level of the SP IMO thus 5.3p. That's it.

If the enthusiasm for investing here, as demonstrated on the BB, was of any help at all, the SP would be somewhere else. Yes these posts affect the temperature on the BB - but not the SP.

28% + 82% is 110% ? I make that a dilution of 72% as my 08.36.

It's the noughts that are a bigger when you do these sums . . . . . . I write all the noughts down, cross or add the change, and reinsert the commas. I know that's a bit hi-tech for all you modern Folks but . . .

Yes there's plenty of activity and Crumbs did a good job today !

Concern about the SP and funding is well founded and in the past Scancell have always moved early when the need loomed at the horizon - so it's fair enough to worry about a possible dilution - as I posted, 60% at 4 pence for GBP 10 million raise. BoD will act early as usual, unless something non-dilutive is reasonably imminent - we have to wait and see.

Talk of an EGM is OTT IMO too - let's hope something non-dilutive arises . . . .

IMO it's reasonable to consider where the next funding is coming from for Scancell - of course, I greatly hope that something of a non-dilutive nature will arise soon to allay all fears.

But just for fun, to raise GBP 10,000,000 at say a princely 4 pence, would result in a dilution of some 60% according to my calcs. That'd be a joy, not ! But needs must.

I guess we must continue to grit our teeth on the issue and trust for the best. It is worth remembering that early concerns about funding on the BB have always been vindicated by it then happening before expected !

So what with that and Brexit to think about, I'll lie down on my couch again . . . GLA

Knowlesi - with respect no-one can give you that prediction. Myself I'd hope that IF the FDA give the go ahead in April then recruitment for the trial could start within H1 ?

IMO it's not a question of it being 'pushed back' in quarters - progress should all flow from the FDA go ahead.

So Tommy F was not actually ''trying to dictate what people post about'' with any exclusions but he was encouraging additional subjects. Subtle. But impliedly critical I suppose.

Ray P - I too disagreed with your 09.27 and was not surprised when you backtracked. But it is an cogent point - I imagine that Pharma pay bigger money (but don't know) and that might attract the top researchers to Pharma, but maybe CRUK pay big money too. Whatever, I'm sure they all know what they need to know about the science . . .

Thanks for the link - the SCIB2 process has moved from 'Due D' to 'Exploratory' status as RP points out. Indeed it's going to be 'some while' before we get any trial data but we should get regular updates from CRUK meantime. Anyone know how often CRUK update this table ?
