I own Rainbow stock and Pensana. They are not the same and Pensana will hopefully be providing more detail in an upcoming RNS. Incidentally the rare element industry costs from where they exit at the equivalent of Saltend is around the $22-$28 Kg mark and a lot depends on processing volumes. Tony

Not sure if anyone here caught the message from a leading EV maker. He mentions as the whole industry changes and moves to EV, they have two major issues. First Governments not doing much on EV charging infrastructure and secondly they face a huge rise in material costs as nobody is financing new production to facilitate the change and the materials they need. There is a limit to passing on the charges to the customer so they face profit pressure. RNS issue by the competition authority this morning also points out deals to only charge Tesla cars at motorways stations and has expressed concern that only 10% of demand is being offered EV charging yet the government bans petrol engine sales by 2030.

The share price drop on HZM makes no sense to me at all. (Like a lot of other things make no sense at all either). How can anyone being flogging this one off.

They are certainly clearing up the previous problems of the past. Came over as very competent managed operation resolving lots of issues and quickly managing and resolving new ones that emerge.

I topped up a little as part of portfolio rebalancing. The share is doing exactly what the long term charts are suggesting. The long term support is moving from 120p to 124p by the end of next week. The trial completion date is still on for 1 October. End of August long term support hits 131p. 140p long term support line is when the trial results arriving in the public domain.

The company will be issuing an RNS to the market in the near future and it may well be addressing a lot of the issues I have raised.

Thanks for sharing the test results Henderti. Can this project integrate into what Pensana are hoping to do. Having the skills to transfer the oxide into the correct metal and knowing how to do it would all fit into a great plan. I can see the best of the North of England in all of this. After all the North was the birthplace of Captain Cook. A spirit of exploration and discovery is all part of the story here. I hope you guys are making yourself known. $81m Is the enterprise value drop from 16p to 11p.

$19M is a $200 increase on AISC for 65,000 ounces produced and the profit not earned on 15,000 ounces minus the last VAT rebate.

Its painful all over at the moment. Babies thrown out with bath water panic. July market pull backs are volatility, but its the Q4 or Q1 market breakdowns that are blood baths as its overseen by the top investment teams and co-ordinated. This share can recover. The wisdom is not to have eggs all in one basket. HZM is 3% of my portfolio and is not going anywhere. I believe it has an 80% chance of success. Its also needed to help with climate security initiatives.

Rich you have to consider what has happened to the AISC for all of the production on lower numbers. After taking off the VAT rebate it is $19M. Now if we get another $8M VAT rebated that figure is around $11M. The value taken off is £60M or $81M. Tony

The Tanzania Government has not been doing so badly of late. If they wanted to, more VAT could be repaid back to Shanta. What has happened of course is that building a new mine generates more VAT added costs for repayment. If the company sourced alternative ore to replace what was missed, which they could have done, it would result with yet more VAT at the usual rate building up. By reducing production it reduces some VAT bills occurring. The company have made a point that slow return of VAT is affecting their decisions on Tanzanian cash flow costs. If Tanzania paid more VAT back more quickly the company would accelerate its expenditure and ironically replace some of the VAT repaid with new VAT claims. I suspect an interesting conversation could be going on between TRA and Shanta as its win win to move things along faster for both parties. Its up Eric and Luke to make more progress on getting more VAT back.

On the CEY Board Kess Dekker the geologist gave a response under Mr Tibbles posting earlier this morning about Shanta.

Shanta share price is now below cash in hand, depreciated plant value plus gold reserves and resources in the ground. breakeven is around 14.5-14.75. This excludes VAT rebates. ($100 reserve ounce and $30 resource ounce, $24M in bank plus $60M plant after depreciation for 2021.)

I should the initial proposal is to make the oxide metal. The Magnet production and all recycling of magnets is phase 2. Only one company has such an aim at least. If Europe wants to have its continental supply chain than Pensana like company has to do it. Otherwise Europe does not control its route to delivering climate security measures.

Unfortunately it was parked up in a quarterly report that hit us like a Pearl Harbour attack. Thankfully, I managed down the risk somewhat before today but you can not sell when it falls 25% in minutes. Another share where I am roped to the chair as an LTI, but I was on the road in any case.
