The NFP figures were sky high more than double the estimate. Of course the August data is largely made up as statistical figures are used to deal with a high percentage of non-return data arising because of staff holidays. The June figures were revised higher by 18,000 or so. Of course the USA President will love the data and the FED will hate it. USA currency is now taking off again. Most of gold fall in USD is dollar appreciation. In the meantime no recession in USA and inflation going gang busters.

Started with an azeri soldier getting killed and hopefully the message to both sides to ceasefire will hold. This is not the first time this problem has happened especially in August. Hopefully, one day both sides have ordinary police managing situations rather than fully armed infantry personnel. Nobody wins having this kind of conflict.

The price action has nothing to do with Saltend Bond. The volume of trading is extremely low and I have seen it with other stocks today involved with energy transition that also have low trading volume. It was the HSBC comment on Bloomberg this morning that their trading desks were staying in what they called the most favourable asset class at this time and that was cash. The jobs report State side comes out tomorrow. Some folks expects the markets to sell off and some think it will show the FED has nowhere to go and its buy. My gut feeling is that its a sell and hence stocks like Pensana were leading the way today. Two support lines have more or less gone. Its only a gut feel, I suspect PRE does what it did near end of June and July and we get a lot of trade volatility. I would not be surprised to see another 54p returning to 70p again and whipsaws all over the place. The market is making money out of volatility and they gave a warning shot a few weeks back this type of play would happen. Expertise in playing bear market rallies is a real test for traders and PRE is an example of how they can manipulate low volume stocks and play with the price. Tony

Support lines are at 63.5p, 61.8p and 58.6p. It was inevitable for these to get tested in August. Additional support lines are in the lower 50's.

It has managed to 85.6p so we have not been cheated before USA open.

Chart gap closed at 85.18p. Probably the best we get today as other gold miners getting stuffed.

Sundrum I know what it is like to be offered a new job, asked to resign, sign a new employment contract, move home and to be told a few days before the day I was to start work that the contract was to be withdrawn. I was fully compensated and the job start date was moved five months out if I still wanted the appointment. I will stay with my definition of high probability rather than guaranteed. I had a friend this morning who was previously guaranteed by all parties that his property sale would go through in time for the date of his immigration in early September. He heard this morning that new delays with government agencies were now delaying the sale 12 additional weeks and the buyer 5 months into all of this is possibly deciding to walk away from the deal. The way this whole country is going, nothing looks guaranteed.

Do we have an absolute guarantee of a Saltend Bond? Any comments made by the Chairman have the usual caveats in what he gives is a forward looking statement. If the bond was guaranteed the company could say they had an in-principle bond approved subject to a number of conditions that again are influenced by future events and being currently evaluated and worked through. They have not done that under an RNS as the financers have questions on the table that probably need to be answered. We might say that there is a strong probability of a Saltend bond being issued at a future date but we have limited evidence of a cast iron guarantee. Tony

Investors sell yesterday was above 85.6p on the sell side. The UT brought it down to 85.14p and the highest this morning was 84.88p on the buy side. The real gap to UK market investors this morning. Although the material gap is just 84.88p to 85.14p it has been a morning hatchet job. At some point it should go all the way back up to 85.6p at the very least.

Whatever gold does, the company are converting inferred resource to measured resources at a rate of 1 year of peak production. Pensana should go back up a quarter of penny this morning and be trading around 10-10.25p again.

Well cont we know your pushing your book which is to short HZM for some reason. I guess you work in the oil industry or have some associations with it. Whatever the case you decide to shower the message board with negativity to support your speculation position. All I can say is thank you for the opportunity to buy loads of really cheap HZM shares. How much of a short have you got on or do you manage the monies of others and your battling away to make enough money on trades to stay in a job next week and they also pay you to write your expertise on climate change on this message board for all its foresight and impacts on future markets. Daily chart has resistance at 12.4p and the weekly chart has a resistance at 13.9p. The weekly resistance is the breakout price, but it needs to hold for an entire week above that level to get away from the negative chart patterns of late.

Down over 3% when gold futures back to $1800 per ounce again.
