Looked high and low for any news. Contacted the company and got no response so far. Other than the Odey situation, have not found anything. Hopefully we get a TR1 or some kind of RNS if they have any issues. This is the exact opposite scenario I had anticipated over the summer.

Weekly chart more or less the same. Hummingbird and Shanta now have the same monthly chart. Hummingbird got a re-rate in April. The re-rate for Shanta is yet to arrive after delivering their new mine.

Waiting to see when the buyers go in. AO has recovered from the departure of Odey involvement last month. I can not believe this is 10.25p.

The last time I have seen this kind of price action was in June 2011. The hedge funds shorted gold miners and bought the gold metal with either paper or deliveries. Two months later they sold gold and the miners back then went on 50-60% increase in share price.

Your absolutely right. A lot of precious miners have been bombed out of late on their SP score. There is a throwing out the baby with the water job going on. Just hope some bright sparks go back in and rescue this baby.

Meteorologists had said further progress of the monsoon beyond southern parts of the peninsula will happen after the cyclone degenerates.

The monsoon hit India on June 8 with its onset over Kerala, a week later than normal.

Research shows a delay in the monsoon onset over Kerala does not necessarily mean a delay in the monsoon onset over northwest India.

However, a delay in the monsoon onset over Kerala is generally associated with a delay in onset at least over the southern states and Mumbai.

Scientists say a delayed MOK also does not impact the total rainfall over the country during the season.

India is expected to get normal rainfall during the southwest monsoon season despite the evolving El Nino conditions, the IMD had earlier said.

An earlier negative report that was not from India Meteorologists indicated below rainfall all month, CEY and gold went down afterwards when that article came out. Hopefully GDX etf picks up a bit. CEY has dropped the equivalent of 3p down against the GDX ETF in the past two weeks. I am hoping CEY has front run most of the expected retreat. Last time it was around this level gold was sub 1820 per ounce.

If the India rainfall is normal overall, it is a tailwind for the gold miners against whatever headwinds the FED or market manipulators undertake.

It is quite something that the FED can just manufacture money for USA Treasury bonds, use inflation to take it away from ordinary people (after removing real inflationary items in the stats like housing costs, energy and food) and recirculate wealth to the informed highly resourced elite few. Journalists and the media no longer have the power or the courage to shine a light on it instead it is finding dead cats to throw on the table for joe public to get lost in some meaningless distraction.

Trading at 0.79 book value. Analyst earnings for 2023 uplifted another 5% ($8M) during Q2 and current PE rate has fallen under 7.

Makes little sense to be on a 10 handle again. Relatively higher gold price with gold production up over 30% from last year equate to a 3.7p over last year's share prices. This is massively undervalued.

They should sell Doropo and buy Shanta Gold. They would have 100,000 a year increase plus on production they will get the nearest thing to a new Sukari/Bulyanhulu mine complex in Kenya with grades 6 times greater than Doropo. They can buy Shanta for probably 20-21p and it would be the best £250M they ever invested. If I was the CEO of Centamin, I would be in there like tomorrow and dump Doropo to another organisation well established in West Africa. Centamin should be the champion gold miner of East Africa.

For H2 if the average gold price sold was 1800, the entire year gold price average falls to 1853 per ounce sold. $94M profit or 7.1 per share has CEY at 95p at just 13.3 PE rate which is well below the 15 times PE average and well below 20 PE peaks.

CEY is likely to deliver 48,000 ounces more gold in H2 over H1. H1 gold price sold is around 1930 per ounce. If the gold price dropped to 1800 tomorrow for the last 18 days of H2 the gold price average sold would only drop to 1919. CEY retreat is far more dramatic in relation to its earnings throughout all of H2. The current pull back is unlikely to see 80's handle on Centamin SP.

Still adding. 18 May gold 1965 futures and CEY 105p.

Gold same price and CEY 94.8p. Despite 2p divi this is severe front running on gold price. Slow stochastics are approaching 2023 lows and now within 1%. Daily RSI is 4% above low of 2023 at 29 daily. 94p should be strong support area.

We do not know what the price pull back on gold will be. What we do know is that Centamin will have sold 40% of its annual projected output at around 1935-1940 spot or futures prices. The real value on Centamin at that price level is around 103p or higher. Trying to pick the exact bottom is not what I want to do. I am titrating in a significant amount of Centamin buying. It is now over 7% of my entire portfolio and I will build it up to around 22%. On Thursday I have a new fence going up and I can not look at Centamin SP all the time to get absolute lowest prices Tony.

Another top up gives an average down and 1/3 in.

Van Eck gold miner ETFs are 0.5% above a major support zone.

It is another pathway especially if AWF and M&G are not just equity holders, but also decide to have interest on the mine bond investments for its construction and development. Constructing the mine does require provision of one year of feedstock at known grades and quantities in a stockpile with drilling complete for the year two mine plan so that it gives very high assurance of grades in the second year. The reserve is then proven and not probable.

Not a lot of volume behind the selling. The precious miners, especially Centamin are oversold. They ar now hedged for a gold price now heading for $1820 per ounce. Centamin production goes up 22% in H2 over H1 results. The average gold price sell on spot is probably $1930 since 1 January. Overall annual production is forecast to be 5% greater than last year. AISC is just about flat year on year after an extensive cost cutting programme.

Now awaiting FED meeting next week. We may get a couple more weeks of pull back, but I suspect a strong rally follows. If the company gets connected to the grid and uses less diesel, the SP could find another 10p. Tony

Topped up again. Lowest buy so far at 97p flat. Does not make sense with gold in the 1970 range.

All the mining indexes have dropped far lower than any gold price moves. Gold price is flat over the week, but Shanta has dropped back 0.5p and Centamin also 5-6p. Share prices reflect a gold price around $1870-1880 or possibly lower.
