Rainbow you know as well as I do after JPM announcement earlier this month that many pension/investor funds are allocating to cash and that recent missive can cause headaches for MG if their investors pursue it. Pensana is a binary outcome and whatever I do should not influence anybody. Other investors or traders should care and focus on what they believe and decide on how to manage their own portfolio risk. I am not trading, but I may be reducing.

I have offered a SP a deal on the Rainbow board and we await if he agrees. If he is sporting and does so, this will be my last scribing here.

I will stop writing on the PRE board if you do. We can have a lot more fun writing on this board. If you say yes, I will keep my word.

Pensana either gets its long awaited funding in a few months time or it goes completely under. It is quite binary what happens. Can any company with zero revenue income get $550M in this market. Pensana is a bet and some people think its odds on and others see it as a blind horse at 100 to 1. What any of us write on the PRE Board has no impact on events.

Eric, was right about the debt ceiling row. No matter how that argument ends it will be ultimately good for the gold price. If they agree a raise that is more Treasury bonds having to be serviced with printing new money. If they do not agree it is a bank as well as sovereign debt crisis. Classic of between a rock and a very hard place. Gold may pull back short term, but the intermediate term and longer term it is one of the few shows in town. A case of holding positions with companies with good balance sheets.

There is real concern of liquidity issues as central banks like BoE are going to push interest rates up more things break. Not sure how many M&G investors are making cash calls on their funds. It is something they are probably likely to face in weeks ahead.

Very happy with the update. The idea that Singuida has the capacity to double production with $5M capital spend plus drilling out new resources seals the deal.

What I sold was in the ISA for a profit. Now bought back under 132 as an average down in the trading account. Looks like a classic tree shake.

Looks like a huge over supply in nickel. China again messes up the market.

Nickel prices have moved down 1.5% along with most other commodities today but nothing to suggest the dump we have just seen..

Was this the reason for the share price pull back. Basically we have no future nickel shortage?

My play on Centamin was 95% off. I have stayed heavily onto the Shanta position as none of the other gold miners are on a production growth rate of 50% year on year and the biggest increase percentage for forward earnings in 2024. Can not really see this seeing 9p again.

Just over 5 weeks in the quarter. Glad only 1% of my portfolio is on this donkey.

Yellen has expressed her concern that the financing of the IRS teams that are to collect $7 trillion dollars of tax fraud monies from elite wealthy American taxpayers and particular company organisations engaged in high level tax fraud is to be cut as a condition of the Republican party to agree any raising of the tax ceiling. It looks like the gloves are off. Republicans agreed previous baseline agreements for the tax ceiling are now all being withdrawn according to Biden. Confirmation should come through on Monday.

If things get ugly on the USA debt ceiling and it now looks as if that is the game in town, it is bad for everything including gold imop. Yellen confirmed the ability to pay debt arises first week of June and various Republicans say it is all a bluff. Yellen gave confirmatory sources confirming the position on air backing her statement.
