Hi TC, I'm looking at the fund raising and thinking 89% is owned by TEK, They have just raised $600,000 from investors meaning that is one tenth of what TEK own. Value for the subsidiary Innovative Eyewear, Inc. $6,000,000?

How has this not gone up today? Any PR teams at those 4500 universities fancy coming onboard!

Hi WG. That's exactly my interpretation re the valuation of LUCYD and that is at these early stages. You just know they will be marketed well, given how well connected TEK is.

I think we can expect RNS's on all 4 major portfolio companies this month. That will be something to look forward to :)

We knew it was coming but good to hear that they have successfully launched and no major delays. This should bring some much needed revenue in which will beef up the books come finals.

They mention Lucyd has sold 2000 pairs. I initially assumed they were talking about the loud model but if they are talking about the lyte model on pre order (been able to pre order for some time) then that is tasty. The $119 + various add ons was a discount for pre orders so we have to assume they have sold some. If indeed they have sold 2000 pairs at say $135 (conservative for add ons) that's $270,000 revenue for starters.

Could do very well 'if' that's the case

All that but still did placing at 10p & 8.5p...... probably keeping the price back.

That's not right Zoo. The placing of 8.5p was peanuts and was followed by a steep rise. We are where we are because we're maxing out on the charts after a good run and were sitting in 'overbought' territory. We're already unwinding and this will be kicking off again soon with the 'right' news.

Not sure if anyone has looked at their website. You've been able to pre order their new glasses for quite some time with a $30 discount so a bit of clever marketing in those comparison articles as they actually retail at $149, not $119. There are also add ons which will bring in additional revenue etc so should have good margins imo if they can shift them.

TEK's 'guidance' is that clearance will come this side of the year but I note the CEO of Belluscura is 'hopeful' clearance will be granted this year but there is no 'specific timetable'

I'm guessing January myself. In fact there may well be a number of RNS's issued in January as things understandably slow for the next couple of weeks or so. Either way, it will come when it comes and I for one am not going to be focusing on the timeline too intently. Just as much chance of RNS relating to another of the portfolio companies will pop up first.

More likely some decent news in January onwards than December. Better than a kick in the Nads if something does drop this year though :)

Unfortuantely I cannot remember how you do these, Combined probability of at least one event occurring that is but if we use 0.5 as the 'likely' probability of either FDA clearance, a worthy salt contract, a deal with a major automobile company or LUCYD 's new product flying off the shelves I'd estimate we'd be looking at somewhere in the region 0.85/0.9.

That's an astonishing probability of something juicy landing very soon imo.

Ludicrous the more I think of the risk/reward here.

Anyone got the know how to work out the probabily of 4 independent 0.5 probability events occurring please post up :).

I know that the 0.5 i'm using is subjective of cours. FDA approval should be higher whereas you may argue that some of the others may be a little lower but all in all I think 0.5 is reasonable.
