You d think so Dave but at the moment it's looking like they only way they are going to stop a super low ball offer is to fund STX lock stock and barrel. It's a tricky one for them as diluting reduces their initial holding anyway. They may just have to cut their losses and accept an offer. There's 4 of them so won't take all of them to be on board with selling out on the cheap and recouping something. We'll have to see. Not being negative, just perplexed at the SP action and wondering what these majority holders are doing /intending to do in the background etc

Sitting duck. If they don't pull a rabbit out the hat. Those major insti's might be looking at an offer of £50-£100 million and might have to bite the bullet. That or fund again, or lose. I'd love to be a fly on their respective walls !

Just to speculatively put down some numbers so I can later be one of those know-it-alls you get on the bbs (when I'm most definitely far from), I'm saying dilution now to raise £10-12m, then debt financing in q4 or q1 of 2023 of £5-10m.

Could well be something like that Sam. You'll get the know it all kudos if it transpires. If that is the case I hope it's already been done. I haven't seen any evidence of tail swallowing through the trades over the last few weeks/months though so impossible to call. That elusive RNS will be dropping very soon and then we'll all know for sure!

Guess. I was wrong about PIs left in. The volume and sell amounts are pathetic. Incredible that they can knock so much off a market cap. They keep putting UTs through at 13p so I'm really hoping to a decent trade go through around that mark later today.

I'd take death spiral funding over dilution. Buys a bit of time for them to turn it around/a landmark payment to come in etc, and they don't have to use it. Like you say there's always death spiral funding (worst alternative) and that junk is available to everyone (SYME etc etc)

They published on the 30th 2 years ago so have form leaving it to the last minute but I m in agreement that it's not helping the situation here. They may well RNS during an afternoon to coincide with stateside over the next 3 days, hopefully sooner rather than later. I keep checking companies house records, but not sure whether that's updated as soon as they're filed anyway.

I know what you mean about DDDD. You would have thought that would definitely have had a knock on. Different scenario, with no debt here but the market doesn't always concentrate on those sort of details.

I'm coming to the conclusion that there is not of stock left in PI hands at the moment. We might be mugs, but if the news is adequate even the stock sp will rise rapidly. The major insti's that hold this appear to be holding on to all their stock at prices multiples of where we are today so at least that bodes well. It will help with what sort of bounce we get (assuming a bounce) too.

when I say no benefit in delaying the results I meant accounts of course. They're up to December 31st and we already know what they are, so irrelevant to all and sundry as we know what's in them !

Hi Sam. It might be one of the largest 'non'profit healthcare plans but certainly not the largest if you take into account the mostly (I imagine) private healthcare plans out there. Sort of goes hand in hand that they will be a bit more careful with the pennies and will want to keep a tight reign on more expensive alternatives (although all the reasons for using Accrufer as an alternative have been done to death) Not saying that this isn't pointing to Shield having to adjust their pricing somewhere along the line. That's a very distinct possibility and reductions in pricing don't always equate to reductions in profits, often quite contrary. Any update will cover this I imagine and they really are leaving it the wire. There is no benefit to STX in delaying the results other than they want to detail a fully comprehensive update to go along with it so fingers crossed we'll get a wider and hopefully not as bad as priced in picture of what's actually going on :)

American S&P 500 futures back above 3800. Key support. Hopefully it will be a good Day and it was a fake break to the downside. If it's a good day and it gets confirmed. I can see the Americans buying it technically. That would be good for everyone I think. Fingers crossed

Hi CM22. Yes we're in the trough of a wave at the moment. Next peak will probably be higher than the last and in the mid 40s and so forth. Pretty standard sp reaction for a progressive company such as TEK. As usual lots of news to come and TEK likes to drop it on multiple fronts when the time is right :)

Nice pic of Salarius products there too. I think the new ceo appears to have more drive than Victor..looks like he's really got the bit between his teeth. Hope so anyway. I've got $3000 dollars invested directly into Salarius, aside from my TEK stake

My opinion, inflation will start to decrease soon and that's the main driver behind all this mess. There is only so long sustained high prices can be accommodated. AIMHO of course

Me too but I wanted to go bigger and use the leverage off the spread bet. Honestly. What's the point of them if the make the buying market unavailable at drop dead gorgeous entry prices. Useless. Guess it's a good cue to pile in with cash though. That lot (IG) know what they're doing

Certainly challenging times, but all on a macro level. The better companies always come through in the end so it's just a case of battening down the hatches for now. Great entry price. I might grab a few more too :)
