Hello Colour.. You referred to a bone recently. Well that is you, like a dog with a bone. Things are changing all of the time especially with Smart Meters. Your EESL progression with which you wrote CC off is not quite right now. India is seeing the Mysore result, it wants widespread electricity but it also wants technology to compete with China. Before latest CC Omni upgrade the two were not compatible, Cities getting best and latest and villages, very grateful, getting basics, probably not smart. Now India can have both via CC.
In UK if CC becomes more involved then we are set fair for good SP rises. Just keep on moaning, its your character.

Hello Overfiend and Colour.. You sound like a pair of alcoholics. We have been told that contracts like Bangladesh take a long time with these SAT tests etc.. Its a waiting game that is really more suited Insurance Funds. However if it works you are on the bottom rung of the ladder. My £260m. UK contract which I mentioned a couple of years ago and was laughed at was on good information and if we got the contract. Well that is where we are at, no change then £24m>£37m. but if we got more involvement with RF wireless circuit then £260m. or more. Only me thoughts as LTI would say, sorry LTI.

We will hopefully get an update today on SMETS2. As I understand it our 'notspots' is a contract for RF so the £25m>£37m is guaranteed.
Then we come to this possible change of heart by BEIS/DCC, considering a private wireless secure set-up for the whole system.and from our Mysore etc Showcase it can be seen to be efficient and fast to implement. I presume that any other offer would probably have to go through a test period and as we already have the existing contract logic tells me if DCC is going in that direction then it is us.
If we were to achieve it I personally see the contract area being between £260m to £500m. which is a small part of the £11bn+ project. I think we could be onto a £1 SP. You just never know.

Late night, me that is, it would be nice if any prediction came on time, but with Smart who knows.
The BOD would like to achieve it especially around bonuses. Trouble is even DCC are moving very slowly, hence Forum.
If they are going to tell Utilities that this is the new plan, Telegraph piece regarding RF Private Wireless system, for all meters then it is a matter of whether CC has the additional contract, in my book it does. Government/DCC wants the problems of SmartUK sorted quickly. I am sure by now all concerned knows the inside out of Mysore or I am wasting my time.
I could see the value of UK contract with CC increasing by a factor of 10 giving a probable return of £260m.
Coming back to India the contracts we have appear to be progressing well and the statement that 200 meters were connected on first day and LIVE at same time bodes well for early income.
All in all not a bad 6 months (to be reported on) and probably an even livelier Q1/Q2 19.

As we know in the early stages Cyan was not involved, probably not interested because it was mainly SIMS based but when it was decided that SMETS did not work and Connode made an appearance on scene there was interest.
Cyan obtaining Connode was very fortuitous both here and in India.
What I am leading up to is that as DCC developed it was realised the usefulness of CC RF but Government had already decided the SIMS path and they had to follow it. They had to get to the not working stage before alternatives were considered.
If RF is to be the preferred option I think it must be CC. They have proven themselves elsewhere and nothing is succeeding in UK, yet.

Hello Colour.. I think you have Greengrass concerned with your mental state, LOL.
CC/Telefonica have Middle and South, Arqiva North and Scotland.
Arqiva I think works on a different wavelength and with towers, so probably more expensive.
RF at present seems to be taking off around the world and I hope we are the most expedient and cost effective.
A combination of UK, Iran, India, Bangladesh and Far East should see a flourish of RNS's.

My assumption is that CC have it and any rollout to 30% or even the lot of SMETS2 if the Telegraph report was accurate.

I also hear that the contract awarded in 2014 is firm, with an estimated £24m over 15 years as we know.
SMETS2 is the only smart meter contract being rolled out in UK and of course needs to be vetted by GCHQ and DCC
How long the rollout takes is another matter but I am happy with situation.

Although you can never be totally certain I have it on good information that Trilliant is SMETS1 nothing to do with SMETS2 they are not integrated into DCC.
So I have discounted Trilliant from equation.

Thanks for that jake.. That BBC news this morning suggests they still may not resolved thick wall problem, which CC has done. It would seem that Trilliant 10m relates to obsolete SMETS1 software. I am not sure but I think CC said that they, toshiba, telefonica and Government got together to resolve the problem of 'notspots'. Do not give up on CC yet I think DCC will use them to resolve problem and speed up installations. If CC RF was used all over there would not have to be tests on signals as with each SIM, new era Omni meters can relay data to as a canopy.

You may know a bit more about this but as I understand it CC has the Southern UK Contract from SMETS2 onwards for RF. Trilliant have made all of these connections presumably with SMETS1 which was abandoned. So are you saying they are working outside of the Government contract which is with Telefonica/Toshiba. I don't think that's legal or doable with DCC. What is the current up to date situation with them. Are they GCHQ approved.

Seriously any early players have made losses but in AIM you never know when the turning point arrives.
Any new comers I feel will be on a winner.
Vas.. I think we are going to get more than supply only, even though that would be quite a few, the reason is in RNS JC refers to skills set and if supply only would not be bothered.
There is more to come I feel sure and the BOD would like to complete the £8m by year-end of reach their forecasts.
It is obviously a tight deadline but who knows what RNS's are being typed up as we speak.

Vas.. Could be right but we have heard nothing yet and this is taking place with CC. At this stage could be anything, possibly supply only but we are in and have all the knowhow so I would not be surprised if we have the lot especially with the new allseeing Omni. Also possibly the price.
