As a layman my thoughts on India are:
Pedro's detail on Banks and participants is very informative.
On reading bits and pieces it would appear that 'IntelliSmart' wants to tie all loose ends up to get a big push forward.
So we have various Utilities, Meter Manufacturers, Solution Providers etc. all working in their separate corners but what India wants now is an overall project co-ordinator who can tie all these various types of systems (GPRS etc) and solution providers together and also provide a secure link up of whole country. CC RF has the multi-platform/IoT capability and experts (Anil) locally and have overall project leader capability. Big task, with various forms of energy feed ins, green, bill reading etc. and all with their own systems. All doable but India Government would need to finance it.
I think that is what CC's 'IntelliSmart' was all about. Its about to happen I feel.
Watch this space or rubbish me if wrong.

Pedro, I may seem a yes man, which I am not, but that was a good summary. I have carried out a few interviews in my time and when I spoke to Anil the enthusiasm was definitely there. Governments and politics are out of his or JC's hands but as you say the product is good and price is good, easily and readily available. We had/have a slow down with Iran, Bangladesh, Ukraine etc but hopefully just slow downs. Coming weeks will see our position.
I think JC/CC has sold the product and now are about to get it underway.

I think that we should wait and see what report comes out of the 11th Nov meeting. CC were included for a reason, being a small concern they must have something big to bring to the party. EESL represents the Indian Government who now want good, positive and fast results. This could work well for CC.

Wrong time for you to pull out at this price point.
I take it JC did not do the 11th Nov as only just back from India.

Hello Vas.. Yes I hear that there are still problems for UK. Wonder how reluctant Telefonica is to go along the path of RF unless they really have to. RF would probably solve all the problems but diminish the requirement for SIMS.
I also hear, and only that, that problems also exist with replacing meters that do Economy 7 etc. Of course all of that would cease to be a problem when meters can be set remotely to different times of day. Example, say 2400 hours all meters set to 30% discount to 0600. Power generators still need to sell off night electricity.

They could run the spread a little wider but risky. The most I would expect is 2.60 - 3.0.
There is a desire to buy but the water needs to be a little bit warmer.
One item, even good signs with SMETS2, would see it.

Colour, just shows how the barriers keep moving. Last year you said Smart was not needed and just basic cheap meters because villages had never had electricity. Now Smart is the thing. Also you note Retro is back on the table, thought India said it would not have have add ons. CC is in there for a reason, a good one I hope.

Colour, I know, you know, that India is once again rethinking it's energy policy. EESL got carried away, went for cheap, by appointing early companies who had not even made meters.
India is looking for cheapness but not to the extent of being behind the times.
A wake call has arrived.

Dare I say it Colour, I think 'the times they are a changing', EESL has matured or at least their directors and Modi wants action.

Well ITT, everybody reads these things differently.
A few weeks means anytime soon, possibly up to 31 Dec, but very shortly I would expect.
Of course JC said CC would not meet year end expectations, he has just told you that contracts were delayed and with only 8 weeks y/end what would you say.

EESL has had some false starts with Smart, if they now issue anything to CC it could be big.

woolley, still strong buy until we hear the outcome of the India contracts signing which JC said was imminent.

These last attempts are not ordinary investors, I take it that you have ducted out.
Many see light at the end of tunnel, which has been a long road. I think we stand a good chance, JC has been busy in India, anybody coming in now could do very well.

I think you are starting to read me, not good for me. I did just get up but then I thought about the 11/12th meeting and by the time we come on line they are going home.
Someone might read it if it is plausible.
I think that we are being taken seriously.

I feel this is the turning point in India. The fact that CC has been invited says to me that they have an important role to play in securing a 99.9% almost guaranteed link up that is as near secure as you can get.
In my past life I was paid to think outside of the box, very quickly on occasions.
If I was EESL (India Government) I would ask CC to set up a 12km Matrix across the whole of India with infills in weaker spots. As Omni is multi-platformed whenever they have a notspot problem CC RF meter can be switched on preventing any delays in roll out. If CC is engaged at times as the lead contractor in some areas it can also use the facility.
May sound expensive but I don't think it would be, especially in bulk.
Am I getting carried away, may be, but it simplifies situation for EESL.

Looking at last trade I think that is a last ditch attempt to hit SP.
All the regulars will not budge on this until the results of the Indian contracts and roundtable are known.
In fact I think the reassuring prospects could start to elevate SP, we will see.
