Morning LTI.. I feel that the whole concept of EESL and CC is changing in the area and surrounds.
New Government (that is return) and they want to push on quickly but with latest ideas. They have looked at Indore and Mysore and decided that is the way to go for the most part.
EESL has learned a lot and been instructed by Government, they see these two sites achieving whereas others are not, they want fast roll out, CC has that, latest, CC has that and probably more important fast add-on capability.
This could be the start of covering all of India with speed, CC is capable of working to time scale and volume.

Strong, you have explained exactly why JC is not making a further advanced comment. This market is subject to a lot political ups and downs. To declare something that is not signed off would just add to your list.
Colour had virtually written off CC in India, I wonder what his inner thoughts are now. He would like to rubbish but is probably thinking what if Anil has got this all sewn up and we are away.

Tilly, I don't think these are shorters just very old moaners who have lost quite a few bob in the past.
From the different docs that have come up recently there is a fair chance CC is going to do very well.
However India is India, so JC is not going to stick his neck out even though he is very confident, with the likes of Colour waiting to pounce. If JC says he has got enough cash to bring us up to these contracts that's fine by me.

Colour, I know you do not like the idea of something succeeding for CC but this might just be a turning point.
Over the years the Government has messed about with products and pricing, don't they all, and the losers were the Utilities. This time an immediate gain has been seen for the Utility concerned so it is anxious to enlarge the covered area.
If you were engineers visiting from these other States and you saw savings being made in a short time frame what would your recommendations be.

It looks like this one is going to be a winner. I assume work over the year has come in on time which CC normally does. If so many states have visited and been impressed there has to be a good order book about to build in addition to ones waiting to be signed. It's probably meeting all the goals: low price, efficient and fast to implement.
If Utilities, who have run for years on empty, can suddenly see an earner which is doable say within a year I am sure they will jump at it.

Colour, as well as myself you have read the last couple of days reports relating to Indore, the fact that it is wireless, the fact that CC has the project (May 18/March 19), so it is reasonable to predict that it is the same item and just awaiting the signing off of Government. The worry before was which political party would win and it was PM Modi's that continued.
If they are so happy with Indore then logic says it is just a matter of Indian paperwork.

Deserves a further read. To me it says it all, many installations have already been made incorporating CC. These approvals by Government are just for permission and cash to rollout on a much larger scale.

That must be the one referred to by CC. If so I believe we are the main element of all 100,000 units and other associated equipment. If that is only the beginning and all these local authorities are viewing, and it is the cleanest city then I think it is a matter of how quick and how widespread these installations can be. Well I believe JC has cracked it this time.
Do not forget our other 'showpiece' Mysore which is where this new incentive all started from.
SP should perform well tomorrow. I bet MPWZ are delighted, a Utility making money.

Hello Colour, I have just got in.
My ref 'fix supply' was Vas 07:40.
My interpretation was that the supply could be made permanent, if desired, and if permitted.
As we have, paying a bill in arrears, probably to bigger establishments.

Seawolf, I know we have said it before but hold your breath and may be buy a few more.
I feel the floodgates are about to open.
Indore has been worked on for a long time and now it is about to pay off, I feel.
You never know with India but I feel it's 99% certain and SP will rise sharply to 10p.

Hello Colour.. On the face of it you are right but it has been said all along that Smart is not for the customer but the Utility. The Utility will be able to tell if meter is bypass or interfered with, and load shedding will enable it to even area flow and pre-empt bringing stand-bys online.

Don't get paranoid about pilot it can also refer the start, looks like they want to get on with it to want to start fitting January. Takes a lot of planning.

Further thought jake. In UK there is the possibility that the 10% 'notspots' could finish up more as 30%.
To those new to BB 'notspots' are those areas in UK where mobile phones do not reach i.e. long distances over Moorland's, built up areas, highrise buildings etc.
Anyway if India suffers the same problems then there could be between 25,000,000 to 75,000,000 to make CC RF capable.

Hello jake.. I think that Trilliant item has already been shown but CC is more involved in the Secure RF aspect. Of course if CC got an end-to-end contract I am sure they would jump at it.
I think Trilliant did the SMETS1 UK contract which didn't work On top of DCC having to solve the problem with SMETS2 I believe it worked out to be half the cost as well. So you see why SMETS2 stayed.
India is massive and I am sure that there will be many pitches and contracts but the fact remains there are problems around the world with 'notspots' and it appear that Anil has got their attention in India. CC being low cost, easy to install and efficient.

Don't come away from the subject, Colour. In India things changed, then changed again. You said, at least your meaning, that CC was done for and EESL would rule the roost even though they had issued contracts to companies that did not even make meters. Then you said Smart meters were not needed in villages that were just desperate to have have electricity for the first time.
We now know that is wrong and they want Smart. CC is on the verge of greatness, get used to it and top up shares.
