As it is Sunday time to read, up to yet too much being said on BB and not enough from CC.
They talk about 250m meters in India. I take it they are all electricity so easier to fit.
Q. Is the 250m the total sum or just State controlled, if so what is the state % v Private %.
Revenues will increase by R200 per month per meter. Who are they and does it include INDORE who I understood were the only Smart making income.
Q. Are EESL using 3G, I thought that was overcrowded and the reference to telephone line, is that a fixed line. Do they need that.
Q. As in the final judgement it is all about discoms making incomes speedily has any of you well informed got any charts relating to actual income, including INDORE, as that would see where the whole industry is heading and not just parties prophesying future income which we had in the past. As we have had with UK.

I assess things as they come to light. Perhaps others will do same instead of just bickering.
Only my view but my current evaluation in the absence of info from CC is:
EDF want to get in on the act, quote France Linky, which won an award, is PLC based so no relevant to India.
Smart projects up to now have been slow, so savings yet to show whereas INDORE is already making savings.
CC got called to the round table in Nov 19 for a reason, I was asking is that greater involvement,.
I think India has as much or greater percentage of 'notspots' than UK and to proceed with the rest of the plan that has to be covered. So 10% of 250m meters = 25m meters, likewise 20%= 50m meters. Those issues have to be managed.
Also GPRS is in 98.5% of India, I don't think UK has that coverage.
UK is running primarily on Sims for Smart and would probably have gained in speed with RF only, that's Government.
Experts in India recommend RF but low start up costs have driven EESL to GPRS even though CC has shown RF saves money in the long term.
I only see what you lot see so it is speculation.
Next 6 months will be interesting, don't forget whatever EDF may get or not they do not make the meters which will probably be made by the big three. There is still more to this considering line of credit.

Vas.. thanks you for the updates but what is your view on the future of CC in the absence of a statement by JC.
EDF, a big company that appears to be selling itself, mentions Intelismart but not INDORE (for you BST), now is that because it is the opposition, also chooses to highlight Linky in France (at 175 euros a head) for grandstand where as that uses PLC which I think is not suitable for India.
If EESL says RF could be used in awkward areas that is still a lot. Strange that INDORE is being viewed and pursued by other countries but not mentioned. Is INDORE currently the biggest smart installation and biggest saving Utility in India or not.
UK wise we still have about 5 million with CC RF to be installed, minus of course 500k pre-booked, so possibly 1m per yr.
In the absence of a statement from JC all conjecture.

I show more interest in newbies because they are the ones with the money, you lot are spent and whinny.
At 2 to 3p it is a new era for them and should it take off they win whilst you might just catch up, that's life.

No Colour go and ask.. For once you can inquire, is CC fully involved in INDORE, how many smart meters with the big 3 incorporate CC, are CC also involved in Bangladesh, you know the line of questioning.

Colour, I know you don't get on that well with JC but you might try putting that question to him, after all he is the CEO.
CC has said in the past confidentiality needed but as JC has told us about CC being embedded (or similar) in L+T etc then I would think disclosure of numbers is appropriate. As they are India's 3 leading manufacturers I should not think that there is competition in numbers between them as it looks like it could be 'lets have all you can make'.

The hint is there about price, which could probably be dealt with on volume.
L+T is obviously looking for good earnings from India but also worldwide.
If the industry is gearing up for 70m meters per year then it is anticipating stretching way beyond it's borders.
LTI supplied me with some information on INDORE but I am interested to know if CC is inside every smart meter produced by L+T and others. Am I reading INDORE is all RF, can anybody confirm. If this is the case then that is the model for India, Thailand, Bangladesh etc etc. CC is good at security (GCHQ) so should stand them in good stead.
Exciting if true but it needs confirming.

Looking around have you seen any more updates on INDORE. They had reached 120,000 and I take it eager to increase from the comments they were making. Also of the others taking active interest.

Don't know about 15 months Colour, possibly 15 divided by 12 X 12. The rest looks pretty good, LOL.
That happy announcement can't be far away.
I think you need to turn your binoculars the other way round, be positive.

Great try ITT/Colour.. Well ITT a bit more advice, you should not be on AIM. Colour when various statements have been made in the past I have no doubt they were made genuinely at the time. As you keep saying things change constantly in India, they want the best for nothing, hence Reverse Auction, then pick manufacturers that have not even made a meter, realise not all going well, rethink with Indore, which happens to be making money and making Utilities sit up as that is what it is all about, CC gets invited into Inner Sanctum alongside Schneider and others. However you see no progress in this, peculiar.
Don't suppose it will but should CC do an RNS now indicating these outstanding contracts have been sign then I should imagine CC SP would soar as there is no where for all this loose Market cash to go.

Hello ITT.. You may be correct on 6 month period unless there are other clauses.
Well somebody needs to give you investment advice, you would not have come onto CC site other than for greed. AIM is risky but don't think you appreciate that. At this low entry point the upside is good provided CC sub-contracts get signed off. It is all a matter of luck but looks good to me.

Hello ITT.. Don't how the rules work in the case of an extended reporting so could finish up June time.
Most people know that AIM is a bit like a casino, I remember seeing a giant robot at one show to aid disabled walking, probably a milion pound a go and thinking not for me. It's a matter of chance and all the number crunching and whining is not going to change that. If you don't like it pull out but better still get back in at these very low prices.

Well ITT, we don't need that lengthy explanation but it pleases Colour.
I rarely venture onto AIM because most shares are all or nothing and you take a chance. A bit like the Klondike gold rush.
However some on here tend to believe they are normal and should be WIN WIN.
I think that we, after a long long wait, are about to achieve that goal in 2020.
With FTSE100 I would look at company performance over last couple of years, assets, turnover and charts. Only expecting a small increase per year if possible. Now with AIM apart from needing a bit of cash in the bank it is the product. To me CC is sound, Anil is a good link man, very necessary in India and JC, like him or not, has the drive.

Quite right Colour..Could be as simple as that. You have to declare when signed it is just a matter of waiting for the ink to dry. You constantly say how slow India is with its paperwork but does not mean that it is not happening.
So pile in to CC shares while you still have the bargains, I bet you have.
I would guess that you have been doing a Greengrass behind our backs. Talk it down, buy then sell then repeat.

Good observation Vas.. Don't know the limit of any clamp down in India but CC was really running on signed contracts. Installations may be a bit delayed, may even affect some areas. With UK not heard any comments from Centrica etc so presume installations are probably still going ahead.
I think the main knock on effect is international transport, food, goods, travel. Most of CC's bits are probably made in India.
On good news CC could be a safe haven; may be that is stretching it.
Like the bird flu this will probably sweep through in a couple of months.

We all know SMETS2 is under way, unless DCC is lying, somehow I think not.
As much as anybody knows anything, SMETS2 is going in around the country, certain areas with poor signals will need CC RF which is contracted for this. So we know that the estimated return for our part will be £25m and just may be double that according to how many 'notspots' there are. You are arguing about nothing Colour, only question mark for UK is how long it is spread over. If you know something please do share, has it been called off.

SMETS2 is underway now, not 6 years ago. CC has done well in Indore now, not 6 years ago, CC is getting into Thailand, is now in with EESL, etc,etc.
Give us all a rest and start buying in, you know it makes sense.
