Here is an observation that will attract dissenters, I think lockdown should never have happened, Boris was following the herd. The wrong herd on this occasion. He did this to protect the NHS, well that should have been sorted last year when known. Give him his due he his trying to recover situation but in the meantime we are probably heading towards a 10% deficit with economy.
The problems with care homes was hospitals were sending elderly patients back to homes, taking the virus which they often caught in hospital. I thought Nightingales were to isolate virus patients, removing them from working hospitals to let them start normal A&E. They had enough volunteers returning to man them, big mistake.
I can see Stock Market declining again on today's news.
Nevertheless all DYOR.

This lockdown in one form or another is going to drag on. I can see many small businesses struggling. Some people at home are on full pay with no fares, no child minders, seeing their children, they are going to get used to it and voting to keep it going.

B.B.. Working on the 1.3bn population in India v UK 70m. That would mean we should have only 3,800 cases.

Well Colour, the Furlough is going onto October and I don't think SMETS2 is going to proceed or if it does very very slowly.
Hope there is enough coming in from Indore, Thailand etc as they will probably try to get the meters made and stored but who knows.

Hello Colour.. You are quite right , many have visited and been enthusiastic, gone home probably been outvoted, moneywise or change of policy. If we are going to lay any blame on early shareholders it was expecting such a small company to go up against the millions/billions of others who could sit it out for years. The result was JC had to keep returning to the shareholders, cap in hand, because of delays.
For so many years we have said it is going to be make or break but this year there is still a chance.
If India goes into decline then life is going to tough. So not a place for short-termer's.

Hello Greengrass.. I remember, can't lay this at your doorstep, most shares are suffering. I don't go along with Colour's just blame the management. We all knew that despite upbeat comments from JC we were in an AIM situation where in India especially the requirements were constantly changing and of course we did not initially have UK.
If Boris does not sort this Furlough quickly we will all be down the pawnbrokers.

Quite rightly you say only 1 million, I don't think that was done that quickly considering UK. You may be able to find out more but I understood they were doing head-end only. Too pricey for other aspects. Of course may be totally wrong on this. There is a lot of work in India and surrounding countries as long as they can get through these doldrums.

My main concern is UK, with the Chancellor pointing to an in depth recession, recovering in 2021 a bit hopeful.

Hopefully we may see a bit of movement. If builders are start up here then possibly meter installations can progress also with some restrictions. Not a priority but business is business and tax revenues. Likewise I think India will try to open up as their employment is even more delicate.

As I understand it AMR is readers going down roads and taking remote readings.
AMI is automatic readings as with CC wireless or SIMS.

As much as I regret to say this, I feel it is going to be a long haul back to sanity. Long-term's will be used to this.

Colour.. AMI is the way forward for India but is there enough money to invest especially as customers may for a while be brassic.

Thanks for that Colour.. Looks like the decision has been made, its just a matter of the investment needed. Slightly larger outlay but if they get a quick return and efficiency thrown in then tempting. Cannot see US supplying funds unless they get something in return. India may well have to dig into their own funds, which are not too plentiful.
Although it will take a while, India will be quicker than us to sort out lock-down.

Hello Colour.. No, I was referring to all installations Globally including UK, I did note the UK update at the time and assume JC will give an account of prospects for CC in relation to the £25m forecast.
With our PM now saying lock down in various forms will continue I cannot see income of significance in near future.

Well gizmo its like this, colour prefers - the facts man, just the facts, LOL - whereas I prefer generalisations.
Nothing much is happening in the market, it dropped then rose a little bit, oil having collapsed.
My concern is the UK will not stay in lock-down for too long, certainly not 6 months. That could see recession and although not likely depression.
I am retired so not affected cash wise but it is the self employed I am looking at, they are getting the brunt of this considering Thatcher created 'white van man'. Civil and public servants and all of the off-shoots are I believe on full pay and other PAYE on 80%. Yet last year 'white van man' working for one boss had perks, travelling costs etc, removed and was supposed to be treated similar to PAYE. Sorry long winded but if that large middle group collapse we could see a housing crash etc.
Back to CC to me it is a matter of whether the installation market picks up, otherwise question marks.

Greengrass is the chief down-grader SP wise and Colour is the chief be moaner, I feel hate wise because of losses, followed by his merry gang. I think BigShyTed is the biggest looser running into hundreds of thousands but he wont say.
