Funny thing woolley.. I only bought Cyan as a sideline from main investing. I had read something a few years back about controlling energy being vital for future. I still think that Smart will be great value in preventing outages and regulating standby power stations which UK pays out a lot for as a precaution.
Hydrogen will also play a big part in the future, not as planned now but in a much more confined manner and on demand.

Keep at it Colour. If I was at 50p I must admit I would be desperate, seeing very little chance of recovery.
However, against my normal trading I instincts I averaged down, then I followed Greengrass who either knew or struck lucky in buying/selling whilst you just moaned.

Well Ted, it is a pity that it has turned out this way for you. Remember when you were pumping cash in by the lorry load and full of praise. Things do not always work out as expected. As different contracts i.e. SMETS2 came on board high hopes and then hiccups, mainly due to government policy changes. If Iran had taken off we would all have been over the moon, remember all the back slapping, then Trump intervenes and its JC's fault.
It's AIM Ted get used to it. Don't miss this last boat.

Hello ITT.
I think the reverse. They have hung around all this time, probably only small investment to them and if it is now possibly going to earn it is worth the wait.
The key as I see it is, the near outcome of these recent contracts which appear to be creating fast income for the likes of Indore by reducing losses, new ventures into Thailand via JST and possibly UK starting back up.
If these all come to nothing then you might be right but not until then.

I can see what you are trying to do ITT but wasting your time I feel as it is not logical for the bigger holders to entertain an offer of less than 50p and more than likely well over £1.
CC were about to deliver 206,000 units for installation by MEA in May so we may possibly hear something about that.
Indore are happy and expanding, Mysore are about to expand, the other unknown in South India is probably underway.
Colour is quite right JC does not say a lot but that hopefully will change.
I think that they are trying to get SMETS2 underway around lock-down, probably just some Utilities are considering it.
These are all likely to create our break-even 500k and will probably go way beyond.
I would like to know what is happening with BI.
I also have my eye on Bangladesh.

Hello Colour.. Furloughed, nice idea but at my age I could only be a consultant anyway.
It will be interesting the outcome of CC and EESL. It could have been a lot about nothing but as CC was called in way after Trilliant was on scene it makes you wonder. Has CC got something that EESL wants to complete its Trilliant coverage and has CC been told not to comment. There must be a lot of notspots in India, open spaces still not covered, high-rise buildings, who know's. As JC said the Trilliant company deal with head-end that are not wireless. Indore I presume is wireless throughout, and the same with Mysore and Thailand.
I think we will soon see where we stand but the interesting thing is Indore was praised as a showcase by Indian states and surrounding countries and these places are pushing ahead with CC so there is all to play for.

Good thinking , I am hoping not but if it did I would look at 30p. My reasoning is if CC has got that final mile connection that others are missing and it is necessary for a complete 100%m then it is worthwhile for someone like Genus to go for it at say £60m. as they can then sub it out. Remember Itron bought Silver. However I do not think the bigger holders would go for less than £1. and possibly much more.
If we went down that path I would like to see JC do a cash/share swap with a bigger company, those are often more generous. Having said all that I think CC is about to build an order book around India wireless and adjoining countries. Lock downs are going to be lifted or worked around as cannot be afforded long term.
As we are going into June I think that JC will make a state of the company address soon. It would take out this speculation of what we can and can't achieve in the EESL setup.

Hello Woolley.. re petrol. They didn't see that one coming, after all oil is the Middle East.
I have taken a leaf out of Greengrass's book over recent months of wheeler dealing and reduced my average considerably. If SP takes off I will probably not be able to repeat it.
We have one or two prospects of pushing ahead as I see it.
BI and any update on their factory.
Indore etc, Thailand may be Bangladesh, UK starting up.
It will be interesting to see with India how they have dealt with Notspots, Building Penetration, 12m distances etc.
There will probably be 2 sources of Smart in India, wireless and SIM and the aim will probably be to make them connected if they eventually want to create a National Grid, a long way off or not wanted.

Colour, its you who asks the daft questions. My comment on Iran was the perfect example, if that had taken off considering the size of opportunity (was it 32m units) then you would probably have seen CC up to £10sp by now, but AIM coupled with Middle East location was probably a nut too hard.
Again coming down to basics its you and the likes of BST who bailed and lost a lot of cash who are just trying to put the knife in. Hope others see this. Even ITT who has had his moments was considering buying back in.
After all this time, barring Virus which will probably subside or at least be dealt with differently in coming months, I think these contracts of Indore, Thailand will prove to be very fruitful. Unlike Trilliant etc the coming profits do not have to be massive for a small company. It would be nice to reach break even shortly and the likes of Indore might just achieve that for us.
Colour, CC share price is still very cheap but could your ego let you buy. ITT is savvy and commercially minded.
Regarding Trilliant it took a year to install 1m yet UK is doing that in 3 months. So what's this all about saying first worldwide at achieve 1m. Does not add up or again have I missed something.
Just to recap as it is quite important, what was Trilliant's involvement with the whole of SMETS

RE Fri 15:01 No point in asking those questions Colour, actions are taken in light of the current events, such as Iran being freed up and CC being first in, then suddenly Trump gets upperty and all bets are off. Now who would have thought that but as we know others were also trying to enter that market, so if it had happened you would have said JC missed a possible £1bn order there, he is useless.
Colour, if Trilliant are so good why were they not used for SMETS2, you may have the answer.
Was it something to do with interoperability problems.
EESL/ Trilliant highlighted 1m units going in as a world achievement but didn't SMETS1 install 14m units.
4.5m smart meters were installed in UK in 2019 I understand.
Trilliant may be a very good company but don't make them the be all and end all.
It's probably their capital asset v CC's shortage.

What makes you so sure Colour. In the past when JC has made statements you have poo pood them, so you only pick on him. Your earlier assessment about EESL not going Smart was all wrong.
In India most matters come down to money. So what price is Trilliant. Likewise it has already been said that Trilliant has been contracted for headend so what makes you think they are doing all of these other things.
We will soon know the facts, I know you like that.

Hello Vas.. We will probably find out soon enough. In the meantime JC said that Trilliant were only involved in headend, I would have thought he was near enough to have ascertained that correctly.
Remember CC were summoned to the round table by EESL way after all this had happened, we still do not know why fully but it must have been important as Colour has always said CC were of no value.

As you say Colour, not long now. BST bit early for the bottle. My average is improving monthly but your small fortune will never see the light of day as you bailed. On the other hand coming in at this low stage you could recover a good sum at not much outlay. You must have been a risk taker surely or just gullible.

Well woolley you have to go with it the way it presents at the time. Many set backs occur in business, CC having had more than its fair share, however we currently have these India and Thailand contracts where the Utilities are eager to expand and barring any delays due to virus will be making good headway.
As I see it, using Indore as the starting block then Thailand with Mysore following up on expansion, there is everything to aim for. Colour is always on about India wanting the best at the cheapest, well looking at the report from Indore Utility boss they are getting it from CC and I presume CC have pitched it at the right price for everybody to make something.
Utilities want the best and future protected but in the end it is their Treasury that dictates outcome.
Being a cash poor industry in India utilities are going to jump at news of almost immediate large cash improvement.

Yes Colour this order obviously followed the LOI of 161219 accompanied by a letter of credit from Genus. As i said earlier Genus was not likely to give this credit unless it wanted and trusted CC. It covered the transition from module being made to being installed in meter at Genus factory when CC got paid, so not a great risk.
I think JC will probably give an update by newsletter or something, apart from any pipeline contract from EESL I suspect most contracts will be medium sized but quality of say 35000>200,000> long stop 4,000,000. With a need for 500,000 units for break-even I feel there is every possibility of achieving 2,000,000+.
Don't go asking for facts, even Trilliant can only surmise. UK is installing much more than their !m units professed.
Anyway if the world starts lifting its lock-downs we could see some early action.

Hello Colour.. Just come back on. I suspect the press item is a repeat by a lesser mag of the 6th Jan £3.3m order of Genus and therefore already notified.
That's my declaration, now what about Indore, Mysore and Thailand, any further comments.
Is there anybody out there that can match CC efficiency in Indore plus cost savings and speed.
Also for the price is there anybody who can match CC for building penetration and 12m wireless distance, both very important in a country the size of India and surrounding territories.

Don't waste your breath Colour, it's an order, just what you wanted.
If the disputed 500k unit break-even is not a lie then I can't see its achievement being far off and then building profits lasting 5 to 10 years.
Don't know what the SMETS2 numbers will finish up as but a good £15m plus, and hopefully much more and being GBP also guaranteed.
I do not think that SP will be at these prices for long.
