Depending on complexity & quantity of evidence 10.9 weeks
I think this decision is quite simple, it will take some time to type up with reasoning
Cross ref to 2000 objections
And time to think through the planning conditions
SCC committee reasons for refusal were weak ,
The legal team tried to change the position from failed to demonstrate , to actual harm on day one and to my mind faint to score a single planning argument
Then you try to apply planning balance of harm vs Need which is in NPPF
Every harm has been mitigated or conditioned
The travellers: These people do have internet and phones. Site notices exist.
It has been on the news , and they can talk to each other.
They have the opportunity to speak at the inquiry, or they can get the gypsy council to speak for them. (As they have done in my council area )

After 3 inquiries … there are a few rules..
If you blatantly lie in an inquiry, you can be held liable for damages!
If you argue a point and the inquiry reject that point, local planning authorities will probably follow that precedent in a higher place
The inspector WILL shut down any irrelevant arguments,
He will not allow time to be wasted, or you to showboat a grand theory
The barristers and planners will out rank you with thier 20+ years knowledge of law and town and country planning act
All the supporting evidence has been submitted by people qualified to assess the landscape and highways. (“ I think it might look ugly” won’t wash with the inspector)
There could be 9 , 7 hour days of technical arguments.. but I don’t expect this to exceed 4 days IMO
I expect the council to present no evidence
They made amazing progress with the 13” casing and did 20% of depth in 6 days.
If, if they Celt up that progress they should reach the first target around today allowing 2 days to cement the casing and fit the BOP
the first target is not the oil found by Basur-1 , but the missed play. So this is the exploration phase of the drill program.
I don’t have any detailed info on the hardness of the rocks that they are drilling so timescales and difficulty are hard to predict. Maybe yesterday’s tweet of the worn drill bit hints that there are hard rocks to get through…
The Garzan Limestone ( target 1) is the prominent producing layer in the wider area.
You might want to leave your decision late… but make the cash available in the right account now.
If a positive RNS landed Monday and the price rose 50% you could buy them at .18
You could even apply for extra but that could be scaled back.
However it can take a few days to get cleared funds into your share ISA.
They posted about coiled tubing units from their base5 days ago and 4 days ago
And today from site pics of the CT unit in place. 12” pip , rig etc.
sat Picts from the 8th with the forestry filter on it shows a 4 truck convoy…
( could be anything in the trucks)
Clearly my assumption is the reached 1st target 4 days ago? and are 4 days into playing with the CT unit.

Anyway … waiting for penguin to deramp this… :-)
If you look at the area most of the oil has been in the Garzan limestone. ( first target )
But Basur-1 hit oil on the Mardin limestone ( second target)
This well is 300m higher but only 1300m away
The rocks are formed in a massive peak capped structure.
Usual caveats apply..
They also said the satalite images were fake
The video of the rig was somewhere else.
Anyway oceanmec made a fb comment about cleaning out a well crumbs ( translation from Arabic ) with nitrogen yesterday …. Wonder where that might be ?
…my prediction to first target is the 15th…
Anyone? Has anyone any idea about why this well is going to find commercial oil?
Yes :-)
1. Basur-1 was drilled 30 ish years ago and found oil
2 Basur 3 is 0.9 miles away
3. 30 years more technology, extraction techniques , seismic, Perf guns, etc
4 oil price has risen
5 Turkey is more stable and developed
6. Batman refinery and the excellent D370 road has been developed (90 min)
7. Export pipeline from Batman to the Med sea
8 Two limestone targets. One proven 30ish years ago
Whilst nothing is 100% guaranteed much of the risk is de-risked
Ibug
1500km at 80kmh ( 50 mph) is just 19 hours driving time… are you claiming they drive 2 hours a day… Lol
Also in UKOG speak… mobilized to site means arrived
Never let the truth get in the way of a good de-ramp
Also remember that today is a working day ( Saturday is the religious day in that region ) so progress on a Sunday will result in 7am Monday RNS’s
The first trucks appeared on the 13th June satalite images
So we are now 14 days into site assembly.
We are in Turkey where the gov want things to happen fast. Where employment and balance of payments are very important politically. We are not going to be waiting for the EA, OGA and Surrey to sign off on endless box ticking..
So the question is… what day does the spud RNS arrive?
Ibug…. Did you type “ The only true source will be here imo as AME…. “ ?
And earlier today that people could trust Twitter …
I am not mistaken..
I’m afraid I am scarred by dealing with other people . But my gut instinct kicks in.
Alarm bells ring, zero tolerance
