I think you have misunderstood my post. I intend to cash in "Book cost only" !!!! Book cost does not count against CGT as its the price you actually paid for them. Any profit above B/C is indeed profit and anything above the £12k allowance is indeed taxable. Say my B/C is £50k and my profit is £25k totalling £75k. I can cash in the original investment of £50k that is not profit and not subject to any tax as its the original investment. The profit of £25k less the £12k allowance per annum is subject to CGT and should be declared. So the £20 k cash that I intend to move from my Trading account will simply be transferred from that account and over to the ISA account in cash. I will not go down the road trying to transfer shares as IMO its not worth the hassle. If you transfer in cash you have more control in the sell / buy price.

I know these are not accurate, however they speak for themselves.

It would appear there were approx twice as many BUYS than sells !!!!!!! so what sell off are you talking about.

You say "That's pretty much it for the sell off now" ?? I take it that you refer to the warrants. Do you know how many warrants there are still in force as there must be millions, if you do not know for sure how did you come up with that assumption ? Would be nice if you could clear that up, thanks. :-)))

2019/2020 max ISA already done last April. Of course I will put in the same this year but out of the "book cost monies" ( original investment ) not the profit. I intend to sell the Book cost value only then invest £20 k into ISA and the rest in TW.
shares for the EXDD.

Just a thought re the SW new hole, you mention "the new hole in the SW corner is further "in" than the original line of 4 whereas the last new hole was further out".

Would that possibly mean that they have "hit that edge" and rather than stepping out further they have stepped "back in" as the new hole suggests.

Its all rather confusing to say the least.

Would appreciate your comments please.

Troubles hi, just a quick question for your thought re CGT.

This is for NON ISA accounts and not including any CGT free allowance £12000.

If you have say £100,000 invested Book cost and your profit is say £100,000 in one year. You take out the book cost your original investment of £100,000 that leaves the £100,000 profit made on your investment. The problem is that you have to keep the profit at the SP level as if you take out anymore you may get captured for CGT. If the SP dropped your profit could dwindle away if the SP kept falling and there is nothing you can do but pull it out and pay any CGT. If the SP kept the same or got higher you could pull out the £12k per year as the allowance, but this would take years.

The other thought is can you transfer £20k of shares each year into your ISA without paying CGT from these profits in the normal trading account.

Is that making any sense or have I got it completely wrong.

Something to mull over!

You got in a bit later than a few on here and in my opinion do not sell out at a loss as this will go North for sure. We are having a wee bit of the ups & Downs ATM but this will change. Have a bit of patience and you will get there. Read most of the good posts on here from some of the more experienced posters and take in what they say and maybe read back on some of the RNS's above and see what good there is here.
