Coxon, they only took 5% from recollection, that's peanuts, and we've not had indication that they've added any more. I do understand though, I've lost hundreds of thousands over the years, but I've also had the chance to take a few million, which I regret I didn't do, so totally understand that. The only thing I would say in Dunkerton's defence is that this isn't some fly by night operation with nothing to sell, quite the contrary, it's just it's got stuck slightly in a time warp imo, and also, like most clothing retailers, they got badly hit by the pandemic and people working from home. I imagine if working from home, most now don't bother to own a wardrobe full of suits, countless shirts, x number of coats and so on. The dynamic has changed, and I imagine clothing retailers now need to concentrate on cosy outfits for home workers but still retain a more upmarket selection of attire for those who still like to wear good quality clothing.
As I posted yesterday, effectively, Moncler have had to re-brand, and also collaborate, and they appear to have done it quite successfully. I'm sure Dunkerton wants to do something similar and I don't think he is without vision otherwise why did he bother to even come back in to the company? my views.
