At the time of buying or shorting you can if wanted add leverage but I never do and there for own the full asset.

Im definitely long and Iv always found it very easy to use. It's big selling point is its easy to use, great for new investors and traders as you can just pop in and out of all kinds of stocks at no charge and they have this copy traders thing, where you can pick someone with a good portfolio and copy them, you basically give your money over and they invest it for you, they can't take it out or anything, it's safe but in the hands of a more experienced trader and you can take it out any time. I never done it my self but its chat rooms are full of people showing off about there profits etc trying to encourage more people to copy them, as the more followers, copiers you get the better rates you get on etoro. Since aml has taken off iv had a few people wanting to copy me! As they could see I'm doing well. I Rejected them and turned my profile to private. They would prob get a shock if they'd seen my whole investment strategy is to put everything you have in 1 stock, AML!
On another note, just because Im over the moon right now and I need to tell someone! iv just found out tonight I'm due £9000 back from the tax man! You little beauty. I'll give you 1 guess where that's going!

Dunnie, so basically once you've registered and made an account you can deposit money in straight away and it goes into your accoung that instant which is good. Then if you go to AML and go on to there chart, at the bottom left there is a S for sell if you want to go short and hope the stock goes down and the bottom right there is a B for buy. There are numbers next to each letter the S numbers are obviously the sell amount which is what etoro are saying the price is right now and the numbers next to the B are the buy amount which is what it's going to cost you to buy in at that moment. The spread between the 2 numbers can be silly big sometimes especially in the 1st hour or so of trading then usually tightens up to half a percent during the day. But when there is big movement the spread usually increases again. So you can either just hit buy and take that price that it's at right then and then type in how much money your putting in or set a trade order and tell it to execute at a certain price. Sorry if any or all of that sounds like I'm teaching you to suck eggs! I know your a seasoned trader and know more about trading then I ever will but I really have no idea whether what I have just described is normal on every platform or a etoro version of normal or totally different to the way you normally trade. To give you an idea of the difference etoro is buying in at, at the close tonight the buying in price finished at 1803.02. I hope some of what iv said helps.
