Stroll’s ruthless reshuffle leaves little doubt about who is in the driving seat. The Canadian billionaire, 62, who has a 22 per cent stake, is dissatisfied with the share price, but says he is in it for the long haul. “I truly don’t really get it. It’s confusing to me. I’ve delivered on every single projection I said since we started,” he said, citing delivery of 6,178 vehicles last year as a sign it was on track to meet its goal of 10,000 a year. “I don’t look at the share price that often,” he added. “I look at it when I buy and when I sell, and I’m nowhere close to selling. I’ll be doing this for many more years.”
