I'm new to all this. What happens if a takeover bid is accepted? Are our shares automatically sold?

What exactly is the L2?

If I had a good whack of capital I’d be doing the same as those on the runs. The sp is fluctuating so much you could sit and grab small profits quite frequently. I’d be wiped out by commission though with the amount I’m working with.

I’d assume the minister for aviation knows a little about airlines, and she seems to think Flybe will be ok. I’m not investing any more into this as much as I’m tempted to but I’m certainly keeping my finger in the pie.

This is really testing my resolve and I'll be happy once I'm out haha. It's my first investment, kind of a practice, and I want to ride this to the end, see how this plays out (I am optimistic though). Is investing always so fraught with tension?

This could be what all of us who didn't jump ship (or aeroplane) have been waiting for... while those with no position left have the fun of spamming the chat with doomsday drivel.

I don't think the recent drop in profits will be the beginning of the end for Flybe. I've been reading the annual report and it seems they have a long term plan in place to get rid of unprofitable routes and reduce fleet size to optimal (which they are doing). Less planes and less flights + lower oil price = less fuel costs (one of the main factors quoted as affecting their profits which caused the 40% drop in October). I'm not sure this company will get back to the soaring heights of 40p shares but this is not a company that will go bust anytime soon, so I'm confident to buy at this low price, believing the price will rise at least to somewhere in the low 20s in the near future.

20p will be fine for me as well, and I think it's a reasonable target. This is my first trade as I'm just learning to trade, should be very interesting to see how this develops over the next week.
