So are we, the shareholders, expected to just say 'We want what's best for the employees'. No, as much as I care for my fellow man, thats not why I invest. Otherwise Id just pay someone a wage for nothing.

This was a practice for me as a new investor. Certainly learned a lot! Just wish i hadnt paid so much for the lesson, but it should prevent me from getting into similar situations when i start investing properly. It did come as a shock that the company can be bought for such a small sum, surely virgin could sell one of the assets and theyve made their money back. Either way, im not selling out, waiting for the bitter end so i can get the entire picture (was prepared to lose 100% worst case scenario)

With any luck it will prompt any of the 'other parties' (if there are any) to start laying their cards on the table.

Yeah I was worried about there being no deal and flybe having to go at it alone, but I never considered the possiblity of a pathetic offer. I just hope its rejected. Surely it means Virgin must get a ton of assets for free; that doesn't seem right.

I imagine such small trades will just be the correction of errors, nothing clandestine.

If they paid comission it would cost way more than the purchase...

The broker targets (14 and 16p I believe) presumably did not anticipate such a rise in gold price, just the base performance of the company. If this is the case do you think we can expect something more?

Wwk you need predefined targets before you buy in, like a 10% return or a broker target (for example), then you sell when (if) it reaches that target and you win. Yes it would be nice to hold out for more but you run the risk of losing. There’s no room for greed when it comes to getting rich haha.

If memory serves, they are aiming to reinstate the dividend next year at 0.5p per share. DYOR though.

We haven't really had any significant news for almost a month now. I think people are getting a bit paranoid, but I've actually topped up slightly. I'm still given some hope by the statement 'The Board of Flybe Group plc ("Flybe" or the "Company") notes the recent media speculation and confirms that Virgin Atlantic Airways Limited ("Virgin Atlantic") is one of the parties it is in discussions with as part of the formal sale process announced on 14 November 2018.' There was no real need to say 'one of the parties' but they did, so it is obvious that there are multiple potential buyers. The other part is that we have had no declaration of companies refusing offers or dropping out of discussions (bearing in mind it was announced in the media when Stobart pulled out of discussions early this year). The other thing is I still believe Flybe can pick itself up next year in the event of a no sale.

Their source is questionable. I get the feeling they've just read British media sources and assumed the rest. I'm not a deramper, I'm optimistically holding for a takeover, but realistically I think this article is to be ignored.

If 18 months is how long it takes then fine. I want to see how Royal Sheba performs. I'm new to investing so my capital is not enough to justify hanging around for dividends. I want to see the 14p target met, then I'll see if there any greater potential from there.
